Holiday Meal Sides Ready in Minutes...Thanks to Minute Steamers! {Giveaway}

The holidays are the perfect time for getting together with family and friends. That is one of the reasons I look forward to this time of year. The fun, laughter and food, combined with your loved ones is just amazing. We had a blast this year. Tuesday found us at my mom's house enjoying a lovely brunch and then sharing gifts with one another. The children make things so much fun too...I always love to watch them open their gifts. Seeing their joy is priceless. After everyone has relaxed for the afternoon, my mom puts on a wonderful, yummy dinner. This year, it was a ham dinner...complete with all the fixings. I know my mom puts a lot of work into every meal that she prepares and it really shows. Simply remove the bag from the freezer, place in your microwave and steam for 4 minutes. You don't have to add anything, spend a long time cooking or dirty a pan. During the steaming process, the special self-ventilating bag will inflate and then deflate when the bag is removed from the microwave.

So, I really stink at making rice and that is why I think I was so excited to hear about these steamers. Really? I can have rice that is cooked perfectly, mixed with some of my favorite ingredients, in 4 minutes??? Oh yes...and the flavors are fantastic!!

For this review I was given some free product coupons to try out some Minute Steamers. Because it was Christmas, I used one and gave the other ones away to some family members to try as well. I am a HUGE fan of fried rice and so that is the flavor I chose to review. These must be very popular because when I went to buy my Minute Steamers, the shelves where they are typically stocked were just about empty. This is a GOOD thing!

Cooking this particular product from Minute was a cinch. I was in a rush last night and needed a quick dinner for my children and I. (Hubby ate later). I popped some chicken nuggets on a baking tray and threw them in the oven for 8 minutes. Then, I put my Minute Steamers into the microwave for 4 minutes.

After the microwave beeped, I took out the bag and I had some of the best tasting fried rice EVER!! I love how all my favorite fried rice ingredients are included; eggs, peppers, carrots and more. This rice was sooo moist and tender, there wasn't a crunchy grain in it! My children enjoyed it as well...especially my son. This was a perfect side to put with their chicken nuggets too.

Not only do Minute Steamers come in rice mixes, but they also carry Macaroni & Cheese too! So, for those pickier eaters in your crew, they have something yummy for them as well. So, in my opinion...Minute Steamers is a wonderful, quick and yummy solution to meal time side preparation. As a busy mom, I don't always have time to prepare fancy dishes and this takes care of that problem. I love how there are so many different flavors from which to choose and how tasty they are as well. My recommendation is that everyone at least try one of these Steamers...they will become a family favorite in no time!
