Check out Palmer's Cult Beauty Favorites! Review & Giveaway

I have been a fan of Palmer's Beauty Products for quite some time now and the main reason is because they seriously help my skin...particularly my stretch marks. Three pregnancies can do a number on your body and  I would LOVE to get my pre-baby skin back. I know it probably will never happen but I can at least give my skin the tools necessary to do that! Hey, if you aim high you are bound to hit something, right? HA HA! Today, I am going to introduce you to some of Palmer's newest cult beauty favorites and there are loads of reasons why these products are now some of MY favorites too!
Recently, CEW (Cosmetic Executive Women) submitted their favorite beauty products for awards and among them were these new and exciting products from Palmer's!  A long-time authority in skin care, Palmer's always has something to offer both women and men and I have been so blessed to be able to work with them through my reviews and share them with you! Before I continue on though, here is a bit more about Palmer's...

E.T. Browne Drug Company is one of the longest standing proprietors of skin and hair care products in the United States.  The company has been family owned since the middle of the nineteenth century and has been under the current ownership since 1971. E.T. Browne Drug Company has been headquartered in New Jersey for over 50 years.

Under the current ownership, the revolutionary brand Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula was created and introduced to the world. Since that time Palmer’s has expanded on its vast knowledge and heritage, developing brand ranges such as Skin Success, Shea Butter Formula, Olive Butter Formula, Coconut Oil Formula, Olive Oil Formula and Hair Success. These brands give E.T. Browne a strong presence in important market segments such as skin care, pregnancy, skin fade care, and hair care. Palmer’s has a global presence; available in over 80 countries offering the #1 Cocoa Butter brand in the world. This unique heritage and commitment to quality has stood the test of time, making Palmer’s a trusted household name, used by families for generations.

Since my last pregnancy, I have been using Palmer's Skin Therapy Oil on my belly to help minimize my stretch marks and I have actually started to notice a bit of a difference. My skin seems to be a bit stronger and not as elastic. My stretch marks are not gone, but definitely look better (not that anyone can see them) to me. I was really excited to learn about a NEW Skin Therapy Oil from Palmer's and was happy to hear that I was getting the opportunity to review it.
So, for this review I was sent some lovely Palmer's products and wanted to share them with you. I received:

Palmer's EVENTONE Dark Spot Corrector
Palmer's EVENTONE BB Cream
Palmer's Rosehip Skin Therapy Oil
Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Solid for Men

Oooo la la...I am SO excited! The first product I tried was the EVENTONE Dark Spot Corrector. Now, I don't have a ton of dark spots on my skin but I have been noticing a lot of freckling and darkened skin where I tend to get sunburned the most - my neck and collar bone area. So, I have been applying this cream to that area. Can I also mention here that this Spot Corrector smells A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.??? Yes, I smell great after using and it makes me want to use it more! The Palmer's EVENTONE Dark Spot Corrector retails for $15 and can be found at mass drugstore and retailers across the country.
Next, I tried the Rosehip Fragranced Skin Therapy Oil and wow...this smells wonderful too! I feel like I am applying rose water on my body. The formula is the same but the bottle and scent is different. I am really loving the new bottle...a pump is so much more easier to use than the other bottle (which is a pour top design). I can actually just hold this bottle above my skin and pump a small amount of oil on my skin without having to pour it into my hand first. It is wonderful!! As always, this will be added to my daily skin care regimen and I am looking forward to using it daily. This product retails for $9.99 and can be used on the entire body for scars, blemishes, stretch marks and dry skin.
The EVENTONE BB Cream is designed to reduce redness and even out your skin tone. I received the Medium/Dark and my skin is really light so this wasn't a good tone for my skin. However, Palmer's does carry a Fair/Light color which would be perfect for me! I would love to try it in my color and use it daily as a  skin tone evener. This cream retails for $11.
Last but not least I LOVE the Cocoa Butter Solid Formula For Men. Ladies, this is some pretty nice smelling cream for your man! It isn't girly at all and truly would smell great on any guy. It can be used anywhere the skin is dry...elbows, knees, heels, hands, etc. Both my father and father-in-law have EXTREMELY dry skin and this would be so great for both of them. It is also fast-absorbing, which I am a fan of as well. This product retails for just $3.99 and would make a great, no-nonsense Father's Day Gift for any guy on your list.
Each and every one of these products are available at Food, Drug & Mass stores nation-wide. Be sure to also check out all of Palmer's products online and find out just how much they really have to offer. I LOVE Palmer's and have really enjoyed sharing these cult beauty favorites with you today. I am also really excited about the potential to get back my pre-baby skin. I know it isn't impossible and I can definitely improve on what I have now.

By the way, please take a minute and check out Palmer's on Facebook and also on Twitter! There is always something fun going on and if you have questions, be sure to ask. They are so great at answering you and taking care of your needs.
Palmer's has offered to giveaway an EVENTONE BB Cream to one of you in your choice of color! Here are your entry options...

My Favorite Job

I remember when I landed my job at the car dealership. I know I talk about it alot here but it's because it was my all time favorite job and I loved it there. :) I started my job as an evening receptionist and after graduating from college, I was promoted to the daytime receptionist and worked "normal" hours...at last. As with all dealerships, this one had a girl who worked as a title clerk and she happened to be good at her job but cut alot of corners and was very sloppy. Eventually, her and my boss had a HUGE argument which prompted this girl to quit her job and leave the dealership. Turns out, the mistakes she was making would have caused major problems for the dealership so it was better that she left.
My boss really loved my work ethic and immediately, called me into her office and offered me the position of Title Clerk. From the other girl's horror stories of this position my first response was NO!! But after talking it through with my boss, I decided I would try it out. After just a few days in the position I found that I loved it. I wasn't in the finance department but sometimes I would have to look at people's car loans and believe it or not, that was used in the titling and registration process. The owner's mom had relatives in Florida so we would have to help them with car title loans in tampa on occasion but that was no big deal. I mainly dealt with the registration process.

My boss was THRILLED with the progress that I made when I became the Title Clerk. I organized the huge mess that was left behind and it took me weeks to get the books back to order. If the state had come in while the other girl was in the position, our dealership would have had MAJOR problems. I hated cleaning up the mess but enjoyed being able to look at the work that was accomplished and know that it was my hard work that made it look good again. Truly, that was a job that I loved.

This is a sponsored post however, all thoughts and opinions are 100% mine.

The Good Bean Review & Giveaway

Snacking seems to be a reoccurring theme recently around here...wonder why? Maybe it's because I am dieting and needing to "graze" between meals or maybe, it's just because I like to snack? Hee hee. Whatever the reason, I am a fan of eating anything crunchy, sweet and salty but not always in that order. ;) Are you aware of just how good chickpeas are for you? I didn't realize it until recently when I was pregnant with my Isaac. They are packed with protein and are good on so many different foods. I love to add them to my salads mostly and since I have been dieting, chickpeas are a regular occurrence at most of my meals.
While perusing the Internet the other day I was very excited to come across a company that makes chickpea snacks!! I never knew there was such a thing but my oh my-I was VERY happy to find them! The Good Bean is a company that not only makes Roasted Chickpea Snacks but they also make Fruit & No Nut Bars! Before I continue, here is a bit more about this company...

The Good Bean launched in September 2010 with a line of first-to-market All-Natural Roasted Chickpea Snacks in 4 flavors. They’re an excellent alternative to standard snacks such as chips, nuts, pretzels and popcorn – gluten-free, nut-free, high protein, high fiber, and low fat. In February 2012 we launched a second product line, The Good Bean Fruit & No-Nut Bar, a line of wholesome snack bars for the extremely popular fruit & nut bar category. We replaced the nuts with high-fiber, high-protein chickpeas for a bar that has 40-60% less fat than the competition. Like our chickpea snacks, our bars are a unique alternative in the category due to their health benefits, and also contain Fair-Trade and clean-processed ingredients.

Not only do I share my reviews with all of you but I also share my reviews with family and friends who do not regularly read here. I am always excited to find companies that offer gluten-free snacks because I have some friends who are on gluten-free diets and are constantly looking for snacks that they can eat without jeopardizing their health. Today's company is definitely one I am going to be sharing with them because they are definitely gluten-free AND nut-free! I guess you could also say that they are a "no junk" type of company. :)
So, for this review I was sent 4 bags of Roasted Chickpea Snacks and 3 Fruit & No Nut Bars. I was very interested in tasting these snacks and bars particularly because I love chickpeas and wanted to know how they tasted in this form. The flavors I was sent were: Sweet Cinnamon, Smoky Chili & Lime, Sea Salt and Cracked Pepper. For the Fruit & No Nut Bars I received Apricot Coconut!, Fruit & Seeds Trail Mix! and Chocolate Berry!
The Sweet Cinnamon Roasted Chickpeas were the first flavor that I tried and these are sooo good! You can hardly tell that you are eating a chickpea. Seriously, these are sweet, crunchy and super filling too. I love how they are such a great alternative to eating sugary snacks and are also really satisfying.
The Smoky Chili & Lime were really spicy...a bit too spicy for me though. I do like hot foods, just not that hot. HA HA! They were pretty intense for me but for the person who loves spicy foods? Perfect! As you can see in the above collage, The Good Bean really seasons these little morsels well...when you take one you get a mouthful of flavor...seriously! My other favorite flavor was the Sea Salt. They too were very yummy and contain just the right amount of salt for me. One thing I think I would improve about the packaging is to make the bags resealable. That way, you could snack and then re-close the bag easily. Other than that, I loved these chickpea snacks!!
As far as the Fruit & No Nut Bars, I am LOVING them! My favorite is (of course) the Chocolate Berry! These bars are truly a wholesome and filling snack for any time of the day. If you need a bit of energy to get through your afternoon, one of these would suffice.
These bars are full of chickpeas and other ingredients, all mixed together and packaged in just the right size bar for you! I would love to have these on hand for car rides for my children as they would give them a good amount of nutrition without filling them full of sugar. These would also be great for my diaper bag when we go on shopping trips and aren't able to get right home for a meal. For me or for my children, I love the Fruit & No Nut Bars!!

So, where can you buy The Good Bean Snacks? Well, if you visit The Good Bean online you can check out their store locator that will direct you to the store that is nearest you. Prices vary depending on which snack you buy. Also, be sure to check out The Good Bean on Facebook and also on Twitter.
So, in my opinion...The Good Bean has some awesome snacks!! I love the idea of using a chickpea for a crunchy snack...who would have thought they would be sooo tasty and nutritious? I would definitely recommend this company to anyone but beware...you will become addicted so shop accordingly. :)

The Good Bean has offered to give away some snacks to one of you! The winner will receive Sweet Cinnamon Roasted Chickpeas, Sea Salt Roasted Chickpeas and all three flavors of the Fruit & No Nut Bars! Here are your entry options...

Loving Our Van!

When I was still working at the car dealership, I was eyeing a cute little car on the lot. I had never had a brand new car before and had always wanted one at some point. So, I decided to lease a vehicle because leasing would give me a brand new car without having to make payments for the rest of the life. I still had to make payments and it would work really well for me because I didn't do alot of driving at the time.

Once I started to have children we quickly realized that we would be needed a bigger vehicle. This was shortly after our second child was born. Trying to squeeze two car seats into a four door sedan was challenging and we were doing alot of travelling and needed space for luggage. You all know how that is...when you have babies, you have gear. LOTS of gear. Strollers, Pack N' Plays, etc. Well, we knew we had to get a bigger vehicle and if we lived down south, we probably would have gone to Car Dealers in Greensboro NC for a bigger car but since we are here, we shopped locally.
We began to search at different dealerships and at last, we narrowed down our search to Dodge Grand Caravans. We loved the roomy features that those vehicles offered and were impressed by the overall look of the van. I remember the day my inlaws came  to visit and on a whim, my husband and his dad took a quick drive over to our local Dodge dealer. To my shock and utter surprise, hubby drove the most beautiful cranberry red van into our driveway. He was taking the van for a test drive and wanted my opinion. I thought "There is NO WAY we can afford this gorgeous van!!" Well, guess what. We could, and we ended up buying it!

Our Dodge Grand Caravan has been a dream vehicle for us. The back seats fold down completely for travelling with all of our "stuff" and there are cool compartments under the floors for extra storage. I cannot tell you just how much we enjoy our van. Even if we do not have a lot of gear with us it is so roomy and the children each have their own little place in the van. I am sure looking forward to many more years in this van and hopefully, we will have it paid off in the next year or so. :)

Food Should Taste Good Chips Review & Giveaway

I am a big time snacker. While I love snacks, I do try to eat those that are actually good for me. Why fill my body with useless calories when I can actually eat foods that are good for me all while enjoying a snack? Now that I am on a diet I am really trying to eat healthy snacks, which sometimes can be a bit challenging. ESPECIALLY if you are married to my husband who loves to snack on Hershey's chocolates, Dove Chocolates and other unhealthy candies and foods like that. :) Today, I am going to introduce you to a company that makes healthy snacking SUPER easy and terribly delicious too. :)
Food Should Taste Good is a company that makes healthy tortilla chips, amongst other yummy, chip-based snacks. I have known about them for some time but have never tried their products. How I wish I had though!! If you are craving a salty snack and are tired of eating the run-of-the-mill potato chips, how about a bag of Olive Tortilla Chips? Or, maybe you are looking for a bit of garlic and onion on your chip? Then you are going to LOVE The Works Tortilla Chips! Before I get too carried away though, here is a bit more about this company and its founder, Pete Lescoe...

Working at grocery stores and cooking at home, founder and CEO Pete
Lescoe learned that natural ingredients and thoughtful preparation make
great tasting food – the kind of food he wanted to serve family and friends.
In 2006 Lescoe began creating distinctive flavors to give consumers new
choices in all natural chips. The company has grown beyond anything
Lescoe anticipated, now the #1 natural tortilla chip brand in the U.S. and
Canada. Based in Massachusetts, Food Should Taste Good, Inc. is a dynamic
team of entrepreneurial individuals who embody values the brand is known
for – simplicity, honesty and integrity. As the product offerings expand, the
drive behind Food Should Taste Good remains focused on creating great
tasting products that live up to both their quality standards and brand name.

Because I have noticed a huge Internet presence of Food Should Taste Good, I was really excited to try out their chips. Anytime I see something that is popular, I know it has to be good so I couldn't wait to sample these chips!
So, for this review I was sent four bags of Food Should Taste Good Chips and I opened my box immediately! The flavors I was sent were: The Works, Multigrain, Olive and Original Sweet Potato Chips (Kettle Cooked).
I am a huge Kettle Cooked fan so I decided to first try the Sweet Potato Chips. Oh. My. Goodness. I seriously have to hide this bag so I can eat it by myself. These chips are the perfect combination of sweet, salty and crunchiness. If you know anything about Kettle Cooked Chips then you know that they are super crunchy, which is what I love! I also love how these look totally natural and ARE totally natural. No two chips look the same either. :)
The Works are pretty amazing too. Containing Poppy and Caraway seeds, minced garlic and onion, these tortilla chips are unlike anything I have ever tried. I LOVE the flavor combination. They are not overpowering either in flavor, which is also nice. I can enjoy these and other chips without onion flavor lingering in my mouth. Seriously, these are incredible.
The Olive Tortilla Chips are very nice. They contain black, green and Kalamata olives and are seasoned with  a hint of garlic and sea salt making them a super tasty tortilla chip. Not only are these chips delicious but they are also gluten free chips, certified Kosher and vegan too! You can use Food Should Taste Good chips for dipping, cooking and also in salads! I love adding chips to my salad, it adds so much flavor. You can also give these chips to your children as healthy snack options. I love that I can actually offer my children something that will stave their hunger without sapping nutrition from their diets.
Food Should Taste Good snacks retail for $3.89/bag or you can purchase a 12 pack case for $44.35...which is very reasonable! I am seriously going to be wanting more of these Kettle Cooked Sweet Potato Chips; they are A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!!!!!!!!!! Be sure you check out Food Should Taste Good on Facebook, Twitter and also Pinterest...they always have some pretty crazy stuff happening there that you do NOT want to miss. :)

So, in my opinion...Food Should Taste Good chips are probably some of the best I have ever tasted! Healthy, crunchy, full of flavor and...did I mention healthy? Yes, they are on my list of snacks to keep in my cupboard for snack attacks. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone. Just be warned, you cannot CANNOT eat just one! :)

Food Should Taste Good has offered to give away four bags of chips to one of you! YAAAY!! Here are your entry options...

What a Nice Way To Retire...

There are seriously some days when I say to myself "I want to retire". Then, I laugh and continue going about my day. Usually, I am having a difficult day when I say that but then, I look at my babies and remember all the FUN we have and then, I feel much better. I have recently been very disappointed with the options that are left people when it comes to retiring. I know my father has retired but is still young enough to enjoy life and all that comes with retirement. But what happens when he is older and needs a smaller house? (Right now he lives on 30+ acres with a HUGE backyard to mow and keep up...loads of work.) What options are available for him and my mom?
Well, I don't exactly relish the idea of them moving to a different state because honestly, I love being able to drive to their house in 20 minutes or less. However, if they ever wanted to move somewhere warmer, I can't say that I blame them. What would you think if you had THAT pool in your backyard?? Well, there actually are Retirement Communities in Florida that offer amenities like that. Wow...looks more like a resort than a retirement community, doesn't it?

So, if my parents ever decide to move to a retirement community, I would be very happy for them. I mean, having worked all their lives (my mom raised 6 children and home schooled every one of them and my dad worked 35+ years to provide for his family) they deserve the best and I think a place like that one pictured above would be WONDERFUL for them. Hey, I could visit, couldn't I? ;) If you or someone you love is looking for a nice place to retire, check out some communities near you and just see what they offer. It could possibly be the best thing your parents have ever done!

Dial Kids Body & Hair Wash Review & Giveaway {3 Winners}

I think my favorite time of the week is when we have bath time. Each of my children LOVE bath time and as a mommy, I love seeing them get squeaky clean. Isaac is now big enough to sit in the tub and doesn't need anything supporting him anymore. He loves to scoot around and play with all his toys. Hannah is my soaker...she will sit in the tub for hours if I let her. It is hard to get her in and out when we are in a hurry. Jacob is no longer a bather, he LOVES the shower. Go figure. His sister hates water running over her head but Jacob thinks it is a ton of fun to stand under the water. So, typically our bath night goes like this: I get the shower running and Jacob gets in. While he is in the shower, I bathe Isaac. When Isaac is all washed, I let him play and wash Jacob. When the boys are done, Hannah gets her turn. I used to bathe Hannah and Jacob together...but...Hannah started noticing that her and little brother were different in some ways (yeah, that.) and so I had to start bathing them separately. It is totally fine now and I am getting used to the new routine. One thing that I am always looking for is good soap to use for their hair and little bodies. Sometimes, that isn't the easiest thing to do because we have sensitive skin, but I manage to always find great kid's soap for them!
Did you know that Dial has a wonderful Body & Hair Wash product line for kids? I didn't until recently and was so excited to learn about them!! They carry three different products for toddlers ages 2+ and children ages 6+. I have always really appreciated products that are 2-in-1, simply because it means my tub won't be over-run with bottles. These Dial Kids Body & Hair Washes are geared just for kids and I am so thrilled to be able to share them with you today! Before I continue though, here is a bit more about Dial Kids Body and Hair Wash...

Dial is excited to announce its entry into the kids' personal care segment with NEW Dial Kids Body & Hair Wash that offers age-appropriate variants developed to address the specific skin needs of children. Dial Kids Peachy Clean for ages 2+, and Dial Kids Watery Melon for ages 6+. Developed with pediatric dermatologists, Dial introduces specialized formulas for children ages 2-10, helping parents make smart decisions when it comes to kids' perfect skin. The 2-in-1 formulas combine shampoo and body wash for one speedy step!

I have been looking forward to reviewing this new product from Dial because my 4 year old is right at that age where she has outgrown her baby shampoo but is not quite ready for adult shampoo.
So, for this review I was sent the Dial Kids Body and Hair Wash in the Peachy Clean scent. First off, I love the bottle. It is super easy to hold and believe me, I need something like this when I am holding onto my squirmy 11 month old in the tub with one hand and trying to maneuver a shampoo bottle with the other! The cap is an easy to open flip top, which also makes this a great design.
Jacob was my first child to try out this body wash and shampoo. This particular formula is tear-free, which is SO nice. Especially since I am rinsing Jacob's hair in the shower. Sometimes, soap suds fall into his face but he doesn't suffer from irritated eyes when we use this shampoo. Oh, and the smell is amazing too. It is definitely a fresh body wash. Even after his bath, I loved smelling his freshly washed hair...he smelled so clean and shiny!!
I was very impressed with how nicely this shampoo and body wash worked on Hannah's hair too. Her hair is  very long and it gets tangled very easily when I try to brush it out. Well, she had her bath last night and this morning while I was fixing her hair for church, there were NO tangles. Her hair was silky and soft. I didn't have to use any detangler spray and that was a first! This is probably the first time in a long time that she hasn't yelled at me for pulling her hair while combing it.
It's good to know that this Dial Kids Body and Hair Wash is tear free, hypoallergenic, free of artificial dyes and added parabens and Ph balanced. It is clear in color, which assures me of it's dye-free formula. You can find this product at mass retailers and drug stores and it retails for about $4.50. Also, be sure to check out Dial on Facebook and follow them on Twitter too!

So, in my opinion...Dial Kids Body and Hair Wash is a fantastic product for my children! I am definitely going to be purchasing this in the future...mainly because it worked so well on Hannah's hair. Truly, her hair has not been this manageable in a very long time and I LOVE it!! I would definitely recommend this product to anyone...especially parents and care-takers! You will love it too!
I have three coupons for FREE Dial Kids Body and Hair Wash to give away to three of you! Here are your entry options...

Soft Scrub Advanced Surface Review & Giveaway {3 Winners}

Since moving to the new house I am enjoying keeping up with the housework and daily chores. I am SO THANKFUL for this place because it is so much bigger and has some amenities that the old house did not. We do not have central air though, but hopefully we will have it next summer. That is one amenity that I will miss for sure. But, I am really really REALLY enjoying my dishwasher, granite counter tops and gas stove. I had an electric, glass top stove in the old house and honestly, gas cooks my food so much better. I had always heard that but never really believed it until now. Anyway, I am the proud owner of granite counter tops (although the color is not my favorite) and I love them! Other than the grouted seams, they are super easy to clean and look pretty sharp too. Since moving here, I have been looking for good cleaning products for my house and have been really happy with what I have found!
Recently, I reviewed a really nice all purpose cleaner from Soft Scrub that has worked wonderfully for me. I keep it in my bathroom and clean the tub with it...it's amazing! Anyway, I was thrilled when I found out about Soft Scrub Advanced Surface and was even more happy to hear that I could use it in my stainless steel kitchen sinks and also on my granite counter tops! In case you forgot between the last Soft Scrub post and this one, here is a bit more about Soft Scrub...

Soft Scrub is Tough, Gentle and Versatile enough to be used everyday in many ways. Try Soft Scrub Cleansers for a deep clean that is gentle enough to use on delicate surfaces. Soft Scrub Total is powerful enough to clean your entire home and can even be used upside down for those hard to reach places! Use Soft Scrub Gels to penetrate stains and rinse clean for your toughest jobs.

Like I said, I am LOVING using Soft Scrub in my bathroom. It cleans so nicely and smells so fresh...cleaning my bathtub has never been easier. Love it!!
So, for this review and because I am a Purex Insider, I received a bottle of Soft Scrub Advanced Surface! I was REALLY excited about this product from Soft Scrub simply because I have been looking for a better cleaning product for my kitchen surfaces.
On the front of the bottle, you can see just what kinds of surfaces you can use this product on and it is specially formulated to be gentle on your most delicate surfaces. I don't have any marble surfaces in my house but know plenty of people who do and this would be a perfect product for them!
I got right to work on my kitchen counters today and was really surprised at how easy it was to use this cleaner. All you do is squirt some of the gel on your surface and wipe it off...it's that easy. No rinsing, no elbow grease scrubbing, just squirt and wipe. I am liking this. The gel is clear in color so I am not sure if you can see it in the picture above but I did use very little.
Needless to say, I am really happy with how shiny and clean my counters looked after wiping them down with Soft Scrub Advanced Surface. It is nice to have a good Granite cleaner on hand for my counters and also something that is super easy to use. You just can't beat that!

You can purchase this cleaner at mass retailers across the country and it retails for about $3.39/bottle. Also, please be sure to check out Soft Scrub on Facebook

So, in my opinion...Soft Scrub Advanced Surface cleaner is wonderful! I am so excited to finally have a great product to use in my kitchen and other areas of my house. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone! :)
Now, I have a coupon for Free Soft Scrub to give away to three of you! Here are your entry options in to this giveaway...

Mary Kay and Palmers Give That Old-Hollywood Glamour Look to YOU!

Do you have problems with your complexion? Are uneven skin tones and rough, dry patches a problem for you? With summer just around the corner (it's almost 70 degrees here today!) it is time to start working on your celebrity skin so you will be ready for the short-sleeves and flip flops! It is hard to imagine my skin being anything than what it is right now. Pregnancy can really throw you body for a loop and put your skin through a virtual ringer. One of my biggest complaints right now is stretch marks. If you have ever had a baby then you know exactly what I am talking about here. They don't just show up on your belly, they magically appear on your thighs, arms and "other places" as well.

How come I never see stretch marks on celebrities? They always look like they stepped out of a beauty salon with perfect hair, skin and bodies. *sigh*. Well, today, I want to share some products with you that will help you achieve some of the looks that were seen at the Oscars...including smooth skin and gorgeous lips!
Mary Kay has been a long-standing beauty company that has been beautifying women for years. Their products are high-quality and never disappoint. Palmer's is a leader in cocoa butter products for hair and skin and I have to say here that I am a HUGE fan of theirs. I love their lotions, body washes and skin care products. If you love chocolate, then your senses and body will be richly indulged with Palmer's products.

Mary Kay and Palmer's have teamed up today to help women look and feel like a winning beauty, giving them gorgeous combinations of products that will stun anyone!

So, for this review I was sent several products to review and share with you all today! I was sent:

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Swivel Stick
Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Therapy Oil
Mary Kay Nourishine Plus Lip Gloss (Cafe au Lait)
Mary Kay Clear Lip Liner

I must say that I was VERY excited about the Lip Gloss. I prefer glosses over lipstick mostly because of the shine factor. Not that I don't like like lipstick, it's just that gloss is more my style. I have never used a lip liner before either so these were the products that I tried first.

The Mary Kay Lip Liner is very simple to use...just open it and twist! The liner is clear and you cannot see it once it is applied so you can wear it with any color. I was not sure what Cafe au Lait would look like in way of gloss color (I usually wear mauve colors) but I was very happy with the color! It is a pinkish beige color...making it look almost nude. I LOVE IT! It applies easily with a brush and stays put for a long time. I think this is a marvelous color on me, don't you?

It goes perfectly with my fair skin tones and adds just enough shine to my lips to satisfy my craving for a gorgeous smile.

Next, I tried the Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Swivel Stick. Honestly, I had never heard of this product from Palmer's before. This is really a great product to have on hand as it can be used for multiple things. You can apply it to you lips to help smooth them out and you can also use it for rough, dry skin, marks and blemishes! This truly is a beauty-routine must-have! It seems to work well for me as I have alot of problem areas with my skin and is easy to stuff in my purse or diaper bag when I am on the go.

The Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Therapy Oil is absolutely, positively a pregnant mom's best friend. Like I said before, I have stretch marks and they are SUPER annoying and look awful. After 2 (almost 3) pregnancies, my skin looks like a road map. :)
When I apply this oil to my skin I stop itching and my skin feels so much more silky and elastic. Sometimes stretching feels sooo uncomfortable so having this on hand is a life saver!!! You can also use this when bathing as it enriches and really pampers your skin.

Each of the above-mentioned products are priced differently and so I encourage you to visit Mary Kay and Palmer's to check out prices and to see what else they can offer you in way of unbeatable and luxurious beauty care.
So, in my opinion...Palmer's and Mary Kay really make a great couple. :)  I love how wonderful my skin looks and feels after using each product and I am also a very happy pregnant momma with an itch-free and silky tummy. :) I would definitely recommend these products to anyone looking to achieve a Hollywood look in their own home. Each is reasonably priced and very gorgeous...you'll look great! :)
