NEW Purex UltraPacks plus Oxi Review & Giveaway {3 Winners}

We just cannot say enough about how we love Purex laundry detergent. I am sort of a brand-loyal type of person and since I was introduced to Purex, I never really use anything else. Their detergent does the job I need done and with three children, my laundry demands and needs are pretty high. It doesn't really matter what I am washing, Purex always does the job well for us.
I am not a HUGE fan of laundry pods but when I get the opportunity to review them, I am once again reminded of the reasons I enjoy using them. The detergent is pre-measured and there is no mess of measuring liquid/powdered detergent into a cap. If you use liquid detergent you are well aware of the blobs and drips of detergent that end up on the washing machine and even the floor around the washing machine. Yeah...it is NOT pretty. That is one of the reasons I do enjoy using laundry pods on occasion. I am pleased to announce that there is yet another new member to the Purex family and it is called Purex UltraPacks plus Oxi! Purex has combined the convenience of UltraPacks with the stain removing power of Oxi to give you these powerful little packs that will refresh, renew and treat the everyday stains on your laundry.
For this review, I was pleased to have been sent a package of Purex UltraPacks plus Oxi to try and share my experience with you. The bag I was sent contains 18 packets, which will work for 18 loads. If you have an extra dirty load or a larger load, you can use two packs per load. Typically though, you will only need one packet.
These are small packets that are greenish/blue in color and please keep in mind that you only want to handle these with dry hands as any moisture will dissolve the protective covering. Also, keep these away from children as they could pose a swallowing hazard. Always good to keep these types of things away from children anyway. I will add here that these detergent capsules smell really great!
To use these pods, simple toss them into your washing machine and then add your laundry. They dissolve on their own and it is that simple. No fuss, no mess...just clean laundry! Purex UltraPacks plus Oxi pods work to remove stains, which is something I deal with on a regular basis around here. :) My laundry turned out smelling super fresh and also, some spots on the clothing had disappeared. I love it when I don't have to pre-treat stains in order for them to come out completely.
Personally, I think that the Purex UltraPacks plus Oxi are a fantastic addition to my Purex laundry collection. I use all Purex products, as you can see and am thrilled to have these new pods to use.
Now, I would like to tell you about a special Purex Find the Red Football Jersey and Win Sweepstakes that is being held to celebrate the new release of Purex UltraPacks plus Oxi! Simply visit this link and follow the directions, you will be looking for a red jersey somewhere on Purex's website! One grand prize winner will receive $500 and a year's supply of Purex UltraPacks plus Oxi, while 365 second place winners will receive a coupon for a free pack of Purex UltraPacks plus Oxi. Sounds like sooo much fun...hope one of my readers wins!!! :)
I have been given three coupons for Purex UltraPacks plus Oxi to give away to three of you! Here are your entry options into this fun giveaway...

I'm Back...With MORE Grocery Savings!

Being laid up with a sore foot this week has basically set me back in my couponing trips to the store. I seriously could not do any walking whatsoever this week and today was my first day without people coming over to help me keep up with the children and housework. What a blessing though to have people who are willing to help out when you need it and believe me...I NEEDED it badly. So, today I ventured out to several stores and nailed some pretty sweet deals. Thrilled I was to get out again. :) On the other hand, I am beat tonight. Hee hee. Here are some of my favorite deals from today's trip.
Ok, so this wasn't a HUGE shopping trip. I had some coupons expiring soon and had to use them...thankfully the items they were for were on sale. In the above picture, here is what I saved:

Almond Breeze Iced Coffee:  Normally $4.99 - on sale for $3.99. I used two coupons for $1 off each and only paid $2.99 per carton.
Colgate Toothpaste: Normally $2.99/tube - on sale for 2/$5. I had two coupons for $1 off two. I purchased 4 tubes and paid $1.50/tube.
Sorrento String Cheese: $5.99/bag - on sale for BOGO. I had two coupons for $1 off and paid $4.99/2 bags and received 2 bags FREE.
Bryers Toppings: Normally $2.99/pouch or jar - on sale for $2.29 - I had 5 coupons for $1 off and so I purchased 5 pouches @ $1.29 each.
Jell-O 4-Pack Pudding Cups: Normally $2.99 each - on sale for 5/$10 ($2 each) - I had 5 coupons for $1.00 off and paid $1.00 each.
Kelloggs Pop Tarts: Normally $3.49/12 ct. box - on sale for $2/6. No coupons used...still a great buy. :)

Here is the run-down which includes some items not pictured.

Total bill BEFORE discounts/coupons: $91.26
Total bill AFTER discounts/coupons: $49.75
Total saved this trip: $42.47

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Now, we head to my Walgreens visit. I had some valuable Gillette Venus Buy One Get One Free Coupons & $5 off coupons expiring today that I wanted to use and I knew that Walgreens was probably my best bet for the highest discount.
Proctor & Gamble coupons are very strict as to the number of coupons you can use per day, per visit. I am sure this drives big couponers absolutely nuts. This was frustrating when I got to the counter to pay for my razors, but it ended up working out...the cashier accepted two additional coupons so I could get my great discounts. Gillette Venus Razors were $5.99 each. The Gillette Venus Embrace Razor was $8.99 (they had run out of the blue ones). I used three BOGO coupons and got 6 razors total. Those coupons deducted $26.97 from my bill. Then, I used my two (I had three but their computer would only let me use two...this was probably because of the limit set on these coupons by the manufacturer) $5 off coupons on the razors that were purchased from the BOGO coupon. This took another $10 off my order. Total saved this trip: $36.97. Total paid: $5.09! That is a total savings of 95%!! I left the store feeling a bit depressed that they didn't take my third $5 off coupon which would have made my bill just $.09...but I was thankful that I purchased all of these fantastic razors for a little over five bucks!!

Total bill BEFORE discounts/coupons: $42.06
Total bill AFTER discounts/coupons: $5.09
Total saved this trip: $36.97

I would have to say I was pretty pleased with my $5 Gillette Razor bill...what a steal! Looking forward to better shopping trips like these in the future! How about you...what have you been doing to save money for your family this week? Leave a comment and let me know...I always love new ideas. :)

Weekly Grocery Savings :)

This week we again experienced some fantastic savings at our local Tops Friendly Markets. We really don't have a lot of grocery stores from which to choose and so I am grateful that they have really good buys each week. This week, between our coupons and store sales we saved $67.40 total, which is great! We eat LOADS of yogurt so I am always on the lookout for yogurt coupons and this week, Yoplait was on sale for 10 for $10! I will show you how I used coupons for that deal. Here is a quick photo of some of my favorite buys.
Fresh Express Salad: On sale for 2/$5
Fresh Deli Rolls: BOGO
Celentano Frozen Ravioli: BOGO
Thomas Bagels: BOGO
Yoplait Whips Yogurt: 20 for $10: I had a coupon for $.40 (which was doubled to $.80) off 6 so I purchased 6 for $.38 each.
Yoplait GoGurt: On sale for 5/$10. I had three Yoplait coupons (two for $.75 off...doubled to $1.50 off two and one for $1.00 off) that brought my price down to just $2 total for three boxes of Gogurt!!
Hamburger Helper: 10 for $10: I purchased 3
VO5 Shampoo: On sale for $.77 each (normally $1.29 each).
Chow Mein Meals: On sale 10 for $10...I purchased 6.
Fiber One Bars: On sale for 4/$10. I had four coupons for $.50 off per box (which was doubled to $1.00/box) and so I purchased four boxes for $1.50 each.
Velveeta Skillets: On sale for $2.50 each. I had 3 coupons for $1.00 off so I purchased three for $1.50 each.
Kraft Macaroni & Cheese: $1.59/each. I had coupons three coupons for $1.00 off 2 so I purchased 6 boxes and paid $6.54 total.

The Activia 4-pack Yogurt didn't end up being that much of a bargain as someone threw one in the wrong place and I picked it up thinking it was priced lower and it really wasn't priced low at all. :( However, I did save $3 on those yogurts.

Sooo, here's the run-down...

Total bill BEFORE discounts/coupons: $202.99
Total bill AFTER discounts/coupons: $135.94
Total saved this trip: $67.40

I also earned 100 extra gas points this trip! YAY! We love to save money on Gas.

We made a quick trip to Walmart and I happened to be walking down the clearance aisle and came across this FANTASTIC deal. (Didn't know it was totally fantastic until we checked out.
Enfamil Tri-Vi-Sol Drops are the only liquid vitamin that I give my youngest at this point and it usually costs upwards to $9-$10 depending on where you shop for it. Well, I found this (and several other boxes) box marked down to just $5. When we got to the register, it only rang up for $2!!!! Wow! I was glad I found this and was actually in need of it too. So, it pays to check out the clearance aisle in Walmart!

So, there you have it...our shopping savings for this week. Hopefully next week will be even better!! :)

This Week's Grocery Shopping Savings!

Well, as you all know I recently reviewed a book by Christi the Coupon Coach and let me tell you...I am having a BLAST using my coupons. My grocery store has loads of great sales and we are really enjoying the savings that we are experiencing. I now purchase 4 Sunday papers and thought I would feel really silly about it. But, I don't. What we do is buy one paper on the way to church and I review the coupons in the afternoon. If there are valuable coupons in that paper than we buy three more papers when we go on our shopping trip later in the day. This has worked SO well. I do my clipping and organizing after the children go to bed so I am not distracted and it takes about an hour to sort, clip and organize the coupons. NOT BAD! When I first heard about couponing, I was afraid that I would waste hours upon hours trying to get my coupons. After this weeks shopping trip, I am so sad that I never clipped and used coupons before now. Lesson learned...I am now a dedicated coupon clipper. Here is a quick photo of some of my great buys...
Kelloggs Pop Tarts - Assorted Varieties - 3 for $6
Oscar Meyer Hot Dogs - BOGO
Strawberries - BOGO
ACT Anticavity Mouth Rinse - Normally $4.99 - on sale for $3.99 - I used three coupons for $1 off each. Only paid $2.99 per bottle.
Muller Yogurt - 10 for $10 - I used a coupon for $1 off 4 and paid $.75 each.
YoBaby Yogurt - $2.99 each - I used 3 coupons for $1 off and paid $1.99 each.
St. Ives Apricot Scrub - $3.99 - I used a coupon for $.75 off which my store doubled and so I paid $2.49.
Dannon Oikos Greek Yogurt 4 pk- $3.49 - I used three coupons for $1 off each and paid $2.49 each.
General Mills Cereal - On sale 3 for $5- I used 3 coupons for $1 off 3 boxes and paid $1.33/box.

We had more groceries than are in the photo, but I just wanted to show you some of my favorite deals. So, here is the run-down:

Total bill BEFORE discounts/coupons: $171.38
Total bill AFTER discounts/coupons: $115.54
Total saved this trip: $57.94

Tops had so many great deals this week...we really saved a ton! Hubby jokingly said that it would be great to get our bill under $80 a week. I think I can do it...and know that with time, couponing will get easier and better!

I am going to try and do this weekly, so if couponing and saving money interests you, be sure to check out my blog for more posts on the money we are saving and the fun I am having in the process! :)

Purex Fabric Softener Sheets Review & Giveaway {3 Winners}

Laundry is something that is done weekly and sometimes, more than once a week here at our house. Having small children means we have messes quite frequently so I am doing laundry on a regular basis. When it comes to my laundry, there is one thing that I absolutely love and that is scented detergents and dryer sheets. The only fabric softener I have ever used are the Purex Crystals and I love love LOVE those. They make my clothes smell so great...it's hard to imagine what my life was like before the Crystals. Because I pretty much only use Purex, you can imagine my excitement when I was given the opportunity to review Purex Fabric Softener Sheets. :)
Available in two scents, Mountain Breeze and Sweet Lavender, you can pretty much count on fragrant, fresh and clean scented loads of laundry each time you do your laundry. Here is a bit more about these Fabric Softener Sheets...

Who knew that one little sheet could do so much? Purex Fabric Softener Sheets don’t just reduce static cling and leave your family’s laundry soft and smelling fresh: They can also keep your whole house smelling fresh! Just choose your favorite fragrance and tuck a sheet in hampers, in the linen closets, and any other laundry storage areas.

I have a confession to make. When I was a teenager, my mother made me put dryer sheets in my shoes because they didn't smell that great. Now I can understand her frustration...teenager = smelly shoes. I could not help it but found that the dryer sheets really did help my shoes smell fresher and also, helped combat the "sweatiness" of my feet. Looking beyond the laundry is something that you can do with Purex Fabric Softener Sheets and like I have always said, I LOVE products that serve more than one purpose!
So, for this review I was sent a box of Purex Fabric Softener Sheets in the Mountain Breeze scent. I was not at all worried about whether or not these would work because I am already a HUGE Purex fan and am pretty loyal to the brand.
This particular box is small, containing 40 sheets. I am used to buying the huge boxes of dryer sheets so this was different to have such a small box. One thing I noticed right away was that these smelled really great. The sheets themselves were soft and just felt loaded with softener. Sometimes my dryer sheets (I don't currently use Purex for my dryer sheets) seem thin and flimsy...not these ones from Purex! They look and feel super soft and thick.
You use these Fabric Softener Sheets the same way you would use others...simply toss them in with your wet clothes and dry the clothes as usual. You can also use these dryer sheets all over your home...in closets, clothes drawers, shoes and other areas.
My first experience with Purex Fabric Softener Sheets was when I was washing towels and they came out smelling great and feeling really soft. Probably not softer than usual but soft nonetheless. My children have gotten in the habit of coming around when I am folding laundry and they love to bury their noses in freshly laundered clothes and smell the clean scent. These towels sure had a lot of sniffing from my little ones! Ha! It was also nice to not have loads of static when using these sheets...they work great to reduce static cling!

I would definitely recommend these Purex Fabric Softener Sheets to everyone! They smell great and aren't just for laundry! If you would like to try out these sheets for yourself, you can find them at Walmart.
Now for the fun part. :) I have three coupons for FREE Purex Fabric Softener Sheets to giveaway! Here are your entry options...

Christi the Coupon Coach "Couponing Made Simple" Book Review

 photo christithecouponcoachlogo_zpsbe2a70cc.png
Couponing. That word to me always meant hours upon hours of work, tons of time spent and grocery stores and saving loads of money. Well, the last part is totally true and so much fun when you get to experience it. I have always wanted to be a couponer but was never "brave" enough. Being a mommy of three little ones is tiring and I don't have a whole lot of extra time to spend doing things like couponing - or so I thought. As we have added children to our family it has become painfully clear that groceries and shopping trips are getting expensive. Our economy is terrible and the cost of EVERYTHING is going up. I used to dream of saving money at the cash register but honestly, never really looked into it because it is easier to just run to the store and buy what you need when you need it regardless of the price. Let me tell you...I am learning a few things about being wise with my money and being frivolous with what God has given is foolish.
 photo christithecouponcoachbook_zpsfd7911d1.jpg
Today, I am going to talk to you about a book I have been reading written by Christi the Coupon Coach and it is called Couponing Made Simple. Christi is a homeschooling mom of four children and obviously, is a busy lady! I was excited to read more about her ideas and tips for using coupons. At first, I was skeptical but as I began to read her book, I suddenly became aware of just how easy saving money can be. (!) I will say first and foremost, I appreciate the fact that Christi loves the Lord and talks about God in her book. Saving money to her is important spiritually because it is being a good steward with the money that God has entrusted to her and her family. This spoke volumes to me because I can be very frivolous with money and she really made me think about that aspect in relation to being a good steward.
Christi graciously sent me one of her books to read through and review and I have to tell you that I am feeling better equipped and EXCITED about being a good coupon user. My first observation was to note Christi's philosophy when it comes to using coupons. She is not an extreme couponer but holds to the idea that she teaches REAL couponing for REAL people. Here's a bit more about her book...

There is a lot of buzz about couponing.  A lot of people are excited about couponing and want to do it well, but I have found that many become overwhelmed, confused and unorganized.

That is why I have taken the new world of couponing and put it into a book that gives a step by step plan to follow.  I have also developed an organization system.  This allows people to be successful on their very
first trip.  One lady read my book and saved 70% on her 1st trip!  Another attended a workshop and saved 84% on her 1st coupon run!

This is not "Extreme", but Real couponing for Real people.
I teach buying a reasonable amount of products using an organizational system that takes a reasonable amount of time for great savings!
So, my first goal was to learn the steps that are necessary to be successful at couponing. Christi has the easy steps laid out in one chapter where she step-by-step explains what you need to do to get organized, use coupons and save money. I was first stumped by a phrase I read in this chapter and it read as follows...

"Buy at least one Sunday newspaper per person in your household. If you have an uneven number of people (i.e., five), bump up the number of newspapers to the next even number, six."

I am used to buying just one paper and using the coupons found in the inserts included in that one paper and didn't know the benefit of having more papers. So, I emailed Christi for clarification. The reason for doing this is because you want to have the most coupons for one item that you can. I experienced the negative side of this when I went to buy yogurt this past week. Chobani Greek Yogurt was on sale for 10 for $10, making each cup of yogurt $1 each. I found a coupon for $.30 off and my grocery store doubles manufacturer coupons up to $.99. Sooo, I only had ONE coupon. :( If I had clipped more, I could have really purchased alot of yogurt for just $.40 a cup. RATS! So, this is why you want to buy alot of newspapers and I am glad that Christi mentions this in her book.
Another thing I love that Christi talks about is how to find coupon matchups in your area. I have been wanting to find a blog or website that does the coupon matchups for the grocery store in my area and using her suggested method, I was able to find one!! This makes finding and using coupons sooo easy. It really takes out the work in figuring out how to use your coupons. She tells you what to look up when searching the Internet and this is something I knew NOTHING about. So, my favorite site that I have found I now subscribe to and every week, this gal gives me the coupon matchups and best deals for my store. Hooray!! Christi has her favorite coupon matchup sites listed on her website so check those out as well.
I have not yet implemented Christi's method for organizing coupons but fully intend to. She suggests using a recipe box and small accordion file. I love the idea of organizing your coupons in the order of how you shop through your store. I am really leaving out alot of detail when it comes to her organization system but basically you file all your coupons in your box and use the coupons as your shopping list. In your box you will have a section set up for coupons you don't use on the current shopping trip just in case there are no sales for that particular item. You can then re-file your coupons and use them on a later date. I love her idea because frankly, I went to the store with all my coupons stuffed in a small envelope and this is VERY disorganized and stressful. So, want to see how I did on my most recent "couponing" shopping trips? Check it out...
Ok. So, this picture represents two different stores. One was Walgreens and the other was Tops Friendly Markets. In my area there are two major grocery stores...Wegmans and Tops. The closest Wegmans to me is about 1/2 hour away so I don't shop there hardly at all. Tops is my main go-to store. I also love that they have so many 10 for $10 deals and also they double all manufacturer coupons up to $.99. This is so cool, especially if you have $.75 off coupons...they double them so you are actually getting $1.50 off!!! Anyway, here is what I have in the picture above. General Mills cereal was on sale 4 for $10 and if you purchased 4 boxes, you got a free gallon of milk. So, because I was just trying out couponing, I didn't have a huge stash of coupons. I was able to get my four boxes of cereal and used two $.50 off coupons on two of the boxes...which meant I actually got $1 off two boxes. When the cashier rung up my groceries, I didn't get a coupon for the free milk so after I finished checking out I went to the head cashier station and showed my receipt to the girl working there. She checked the ad, verified that I was supposed to get a free gallon of milk and then refunded us for the milk. Awesome! See the three packages of Bic Soleil razors? I only paid $3.99 for each of those thanks to my $2 off coupons.
My shopping trip to Tops would have cost me $43.31 but thanks to store discounts and coupons, I only paid $24.70.  Now, that isn't a HUGE savings but it is pretty good, considering I have never used coupons like that before.
Now, we get to Walgreens. Schick Disposable Razors were buy one, get one 50% off. I had coupons for BOGO so I used two of those coupons on four packages of Razors. Then, I had three individual coupons for Gillette razors. They were priced at $5.99 each and I had three coupons...two for $3 off and one for $5 off. So, I paid only $.99 for one of the razors!
I ended up spending a total of $18.92 and SAVED $36.48 with bonus points and coupons. WOW! For me, that was a HUGE savings.
Real quick, one last receipt I wanted to show you was from a quick, emergency stop at a local Dollar General. We were at church and my son had a HUGE poo poo diaper and blew out his pants. Completely. I had to run to the store and buy him a new pair of pants. Well, I chose a pair of denim blue jeans and they were marked $10. I also bought diaper cream. I get to the checkout and was floored when my total came to just the price of the diaper cream. I remarked to the cashier "Wow! The pants must have been on sale!" She had the personality of a brick wall and didn't respond and I went on my way. When I got in the car, I looked at my receipt. The pants rang up for $.01!!!!!!! What a BLESSING! I asked my sister about this because she worked at Dollar General for several years and she said that when they want to push inventory, they mark down items like this but you have to know what to look for. I was thrilled that I only paid a penny for my son's pants and that is a deal I got when I used no coupons! Ha ha! :)

Soo, I think it is safe to say that I am officially hooked on using coupons and looking for good deals. Christi talks about keeping your eyes open for thrift store deals, garage sales and online deals as well. I blogged recently about a FANTASTIC deal Maidenform was having for their $10 bra sale. I purchased two bras for a total of about $17 + FREE shipping. So, you have to keep your eyes open for special sales and take advantage when you can.
 photo christithecouponcoachbook_zpsfd7911d1.jpg
Christi the Coupon Coach's book retails for $18 or you can purchase the ebook for $4.99. I would recommend buying the book itself because there are pages in the back for you to write notes and that is great, especially if you are trying to learn how to coupon. I am grateful to Christi for giving me the opportunity to review her book and hope that this review helps you to see how simple it can be to save your pennies. Be sure to check out more reviews for Christi's book by clicking on the banner below and happy couponing!!! :)

20 Mule Team Borax Review & Giveaway {3 Winners}

Well, summer is in full swing and I am loving the cooler weather that we have had this week. It makes working in the kitchen enjoyable and I love to bake and clean when the air is cool. When it is hot and sticky that last thing I want to be doing is working. If this cool weather is any indication of how the rest of the summer is going to be, I am SO ready! :) Cleaning is something that I really do enjoy and when it comes to keeping my house clean, I am pretty good at keeping up with things. I am not OCD about my house though (unless we are talking about toys, then I am terrible!) and it doesn't have to be spotless 100% of the time. My family comes first and if the house needs to wait until tomorrow to be cleaned then so be it. It can wait. Now, at the end of my day, I typically do a walk-through of the house and pick up toys, wipe down counter tops and straighten things up a bit. If there is one thing I do enjoy it is waking up to a clean and ready-for-the-day house.
One of the rooms of my house that just has to be clean is my kitchen. I have a lot of experience with ants and so I know the importance of a clean kitchen. So, when it comes to cleaning supplies for my kitchen I tend to use multi-purpose cleaners. 20 Mule Team Borax Detergent Booster is something that I use regularly for my laundry but did you know that it can also be used for cleaning purposes? I never did until recently and have been using Borax around my house ever since. I have often wondered where the name "20 Mule Team" came from and thought you would be interested in learning more about the history behind the famous name...

Twenty-mule teams were a solution to the transportation problem of moving millions of pounds of borax from remote mines in inaccessible Death Valley to the railroad at Mojave.

Originally, teams of eight and 10 mules were used. But the 165-mile trek proved to be too much for these teams. According to local legend, Harmony Borax superintendent J.W.S. Perry and a muleskinner (or driver) named Ed Stiles came up with the idea of hitching two 10-mule teams together. The result was 100-foot-long team that took 10 days to carry 10 tons of borax one way across the desert.

Three men operated the 20-mule teams, which were actually 18 mules and two horses. The mule teams hauled more than 12 million pounds of borax 165 miles in the five years between 1883 and 1888. During this time not a single animal was lost, nor did a single wagon break down. In 1894, a steam traction engine named “Dinah” was brought in to replace the mules, but she proved less reliable, and was eventually towed back to town by the mules she tried to replace.

After the mules were replaced by a new rail spur, the Pacific Coast Borax company added the name 20 Mule Team to Borax. The symbol was first used in 1891 and registered in 1894.

How interesting is that! I would have never guessed but now, I know! It is also really neat to note that Borax has been used for so many years. You really know a product is good if it has stood the test of time and is still used now!
So, for this review I was sent a box of 20 Mule Team Borax Detergent Booster and also some coupons to give away to some of you! Borax is a regular additive to my laundry and while it is odorless and doesn't seem to add much to my laundry, it does a great job cleaning my clothes and helping my detergent work better. It is also really helps to remove stains in clothing and believe me, with three toddlers we have a LOT of  stained clothing around here!
Because I have never cleaned the drains of my kitchen sinks, I thought that it would be a good idea to use the 20 Mule Team Borax on them to see how well it worked! You can also use this product to clean your disposal if you had one. I had one at the old house and I miss it terribly!! Those things are simply the BEST.
So, all you do is sprinkle 2-3 tablespoons down the drain and let it sit for 15 minutes. Then, flush well with water. That is all you need to do! Any foul odors will be gone and your sink will be cleaner than it was. I have never noticed any bad smells from my drains but it is good to know that now they are clean!
Not only can you use Borax in your sinks, but you can also use it for your laundry (it naturally softens hard water which helps your detergent work at it's maximum capabilities), washing your dishes and even adding it to your dishwasher to eliminate water spots and residue! I love that! I have been noticing water spots on my glasses recently so I may try this out in the dishwasher too.

20 Mule Team Borax Detergent Booster retails for about $3 and can be found at mass retailers around the country. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone! It is multi-functional, practical, natural and VERY effective! Try it out today!

NEW McDonald's Premium McWrap Review & Giveaway {4 Winners}

From the time I was little, McDonald's was a huge hit around my house. My parents loved taking us there because it was always reasonably priced and the food was kid-approved. Having 6 children meant that they were always trying to save money here and there and those golden arches were known and loved by each of my siblings and I. In fact, when we used to travel, we could spot the McDonald's sign from miles away and learned to spot them on road signs. So, if we were hungry, we made sure we pointed out where the next McDonald's was located along our route. Now that I have children, we often frequent McDonald's and my children just adore their Chicken McNuggets. My husband is pretty partial to the nuggets as well so they always get the same thing when we visit. Oh yes, and there is also a PlayPlace at a location near us so that makes visiting McDonald's an extra special treat for my little ones. (We won't mention the time my 2 year old went up in the tubes and wouldn't come down so mommy had to crawl up through the maze of tubes and slides to rescue him...yeah...that was an embarrassing moment fun.)
So, when I heard that McDonald's had a new menu item I, of course, was very excited. McDonald's now offers a NEW Premium McWrap! That's right, a healthy wrap that is bursting with freshness. Healthy and McDonald's never seemed to fit in the same sentence for me...until now. Before I tell you all about this McWrap, here is a bit more interesting information about McDonald's!

Since 1955, we’ve been proud to serve the world some of its favorite food. And along the way, we’ve managed not just to live history, but create it:  from drive-thru restaurants to Chicken McNuggets to college credits from Hamburger U and much more. It’s been quite the journey, and we promise this is just the beginning-we’ve got our hearts set on making more history.

I learned something else that I found really interesting when I read about McDonald's history...did you know that the first McDonald's drive thru was created near a military base to serve soldiers who were not permitted to get out of their cars while wearing fatigues? Wow, I never knew that before today! How neat is that?!? Anyway, when I found out that I was going to get to try the all new Premium McWrap, I was very excited.
So, for this review I was sent some coupons to try the McWrap for free and also was sent some extra coupons to give away to you! My coupons arrived the other day and today when I was out running errands with the children, I stopped by my local McDonald's to grab a McWrap for my lunch.
First of all, the McWraps in general are HUGE. They are made with a full-sized tortilla and so they are definitely a meal in themselves. You have probably tried the breakfast burritos from McDonald's but these are waaay bigger than them.
There are three different flavored McWraps that you can choose from and all of them are amazing. You can try the Chicken & Bacon, Sweet Chili Chicken or the Chicken & Ranch. For today's lunch run I chose to try the Chicken & Bacon. Wow. My McWrap had huge strips of crispy chicken, juicy tomatoes, lettuce, strips of bacon, creamy garlic sauce and cheddar jack cheese. It was very tasty and really filling too. Retailing for just under $5, it is definitely a wonderful and healthy lunch option!
The one thing that I absolutely love about the McWrap is that the container is designed to leave you with a way to actually hold your wrap without losing the contents. This is sooo great, especially if you are eating while driving. No messy hands and no filling falling all over your lap. Just like everything else at McDonald's you can "tweak" your wrap to fit your likes...different sauces, crispy or grilled chicken and leaving out anything you may not like.
I have also tried the Chicken & Ranch McWrap and it too was sooo good. When it comes to good food, I think that McDonald's is one of my top favorites. When I was pregnant with Isaac, I craved their double cheeseburgers and their breakfast menu is so yummy...who doesn't love a hot Egg McMuffin every now and then? To find out more about the NEW McWrap, check out McDonald's online and also be sure to visit them on Facebook and also on Twitter!

So, in my opinion...If you are looking to satisfy even the slightest of hunger pangs, check out McDonald's NEW Premium McWraps! They are packed full of yummy ingredients and will be sure to fill you up in no time at all. The three varieties will leave you with choices too and that is always a good thing. :)
Now, I have some coupons to giveaway...four of you will each win three coupons to try out the NEW Premium McWrap for FREE!! Here are your entry options...
