From the time my daughter was a baby, I have always loved to doll her hair up in pretty styles. She was TERRIBLE about keeping anything in her hair as an infant so I sort of gave up until she was older. Now that she is bigger, I am constantly giving her special styles in her hair and for the first time ever, I did her hair in rag curlers the other night. Woo! Was her hair ever curly the next morning!! She loved it and I loved doing it for her. Qoileez! came from being inspired by so many successful inventors/entrepreneurs' stories that I have read and heard about.  And the drive to invent and create something overpowered me. I said to myself: "I want to create something. Something fun and fashionable. Something with a multi-purpose." Well, one day I was at the store and I was thinking of the inventor who invented the Topsy Tail and I said to myself "I am going to look in the knitting, crochet area and see if there is something like the Topsy Tail that I can use in my hair." I thought to myself "these" coils would look so cute if they were different designs and colors and would make such a cute fashion accessory for my hair.  My kids and I started to come up with all these ideas of how these coiled plastic objects could be used for. So I bought some nail art stickers cut them and put them over the coils and molded them to fit the coils. They looked so cute!

Once again, I have discovered a product that has been invented by a mom and that is what I love about doing reviews. It really opens my eyes to the number of great companies out there that have their roots in family and that is so great.

So, for this review I was sent three packages of Qoileez! to try out and experiment with. As I said before, I love doing my daughter's hair and this created the perfect opportunity for a quick hair style for her.

As you can see, there are many different styles, colors and themes to choose from when shopping for Qoileez! I am not a really flashy type of person so I love the pretty colors that I was sent. They are just enough color to add a bit of "pop" to any hairstyle.

Measuring about 1/2 inch in length, these are flexible little coils that wrap nicely around the hair. They are made out of a flexible plastic type of material and once they are stretched, they can be coiled around just about anything!

THAT was impressive. :) Her hair isn't that thick either so I thought the Qoileez! held her hair together really well considering that aspect. I am also wanting to put several of these throughout her hair when I braid it...I think it would look super cute.

Parnevu T-Tree Hair Care Products Review

I have always loved having long hair. I went through a phase (I think all people with long hair do) where I was chopping my hair short into bob styles and really did like it shorter. Because my hair is thick, having it shorter makes it much easier to manage and styling is a breeze too. Since I have been married, my husband loves long hair so I have not chopped it in over 6 years. I have had it trimmed but not cut short...he would absolutely die if I did that. Sometimes I color my hair too because I have so many white hairs that show up unexpectedly...my grandmother was completely white at 28 years old so I guess the white hair is hereditary. Bummer. Anyway, I love using different shampoos on my hair and doing reviews gives me the opportunity to try out new products and brands and I have really found some great hair care products through these past few years of doing reviews.

Today, I am going to introduce you to Parnevu...a company that uses luxurious T-Tree Oil in their hair care products! Now, when I first visited the site I noticed that all the models on the site were darker skinned and I am white as a ghost. I do know that African American people tend to have hair that needs special products so I was worried at first that Parnevu wasn't a product for me. However, when I checked with them they said that they have received success stories from women of all ethnic backgrounds so it isn't just limited to those who need extra care for their hair. YAY! Parnevu offers a fantastic line of T-Tree Oil hair care products along with products designed for people with very dry hair. Before I continue, here is a bit more about T-Tree Oil and it's benefits!

T-tree oil is produced from Melaleuca Alternifolia leaves, which is an indigenous tree of coastal Australia, and is known for its many uses in therapeutic and cosmetic fields. Some of tea tree's most unique properties are its excellent dermal penetration, being non-irritating and inflammatory, being environmentally friendly, and having a pleasant aroma. But perhaps the most remarkable property is its capability to eliminate the itching and flaking associated with dandruff. It can also aid in sebum control, dry scalp prevention, as well as assisting in the maintenance of a healthy scalp.

Tea tree oil has been considered as one of nature's most versatile natural healers. Tea tree oil has numerous benefits including combating dandruff and oily skin, killing bacteria. It is the perfect way to stimulate and refresh both the hair and scalp. Regular use of Parnevu T-Tree Oil products promotes the natural healing process for total hair and scalp health.

Because I have oily hair, I was curious as to how Parnevu's products would help my hair. It was something that I was looking forward to and could not wait to receive the products!

So, for this review I was sent the T-Tree Shampoo ($6.00), Leave-in Conditioner ($6.00) and Break Control ($6.00). All of the products are packaged attractively and smell absolutely gorgeous too! I have been using these products for the past four weeks and wanted to share my experience with you.

The first products I tried were the shampoo and leave-in conditioner. Now, I will tell you here that I am not a huge fan of using leave-in conditioners simply because typically, they leave my hair feeling greasy and needing to be rinsed out. Leave-in conditioners are designed to stay in the hair and condition constantly so they are WONDERFUL for people who have really curly hair...I know this because I have a friend who uses these types of conditioners all the time. This particular conditioner is also known to help with flaking and itching as well as strengthening the hair and locking in moisture. That is so great to know especially with summer right on the doorstep. 

The T-Tree Shampoo is wonderful. I use it about twice a week on my hair and it has seemed to help with the snarls that I tend to get in my hair. I have fairly straight and VERY long hair so it gets tangled pretty easily. This is also where the conditioner comes into play as well. I apply the conditioner when my hair is freshly washed and it makes it a cinch to comb out. One thing I found though is because my hair is oily, particularly at the roots, I only condition from about my ears down. When I was conditioning from my forehead down, it was leaving my roots looking pretty greasy. So, once I switched to only using it farther down my head it worked beautifully. 

Out of the products I received for this review the only one that didn't work for me was the Break Control. This creamy formula just made my hair look very greasy within minutes of applying it and no matter how I applied it, I had issues. I could definitely see how it would help someone who has coarse, dry hair because it is designed to help control the breaking of hair and also moisturize. So, my hair isn't brittle and I don't struggle with that problem but I know people who do and plan on sharing this product with them. Just because it didn't work for me does NOT mean it won't work for someone else. 

So, here are my before and after pictures of my hair. The picture on the left is the before picture. As you can see, my hair looks pretty wild and snarly. After using Parnevu for 4+ weeks, my hair became softer and more manageable as you can see on the right. I would definitely say that Parnevu products worked well with my hair type and even though I have oily hair, it still helped to manage that while moisturizing without the greasy feel.

Dial Kids Body & Hair Wash Review & Giveaway {3 Winners}

I think my favorite time of the week is when we have bath time. Each of my children LOVE bath time and as a mommy, I love seeing them get squeaky clean. Isaac is now big enough to sit in the tub and doesn't need anything supporting him anymore. He loves to scoot around and play with all his toys. Hannah is my soaker...she will sit in the tub for hours if I let her. It is hard to get her in and out when we are in a hurry. Jacob is no longer a bather, he LOVES the shower. Go figure. It is totally fine now and I am getting used to the new routine. One thing that I am always looking for is good soap to use for their hair and little bodies. Sometimes, that isn't the easiest thing to do because we have sensitive skin, but I manage to always find great kid's soap for them!

So, for this review I was sent the Dial Kids Body and Hair Wash in the Peachy Clean scent. First off, I love the bottle. It is super easy to hold and believe me, I need something like this when I am holding onto my squirmy 11 month old in the tub with one hand and trying to maneuver a shampoo bottle with the other! The cap is an easy to open flip top, which also makes this a great design.

Jacob was my first child to try out this body wash and shampoo. This particular formula is tear-free, which is SO nice. Especially since I am rinsing Jacob's hair in the shower. Sometimes, soap suds fall into his face but he doesn't suffer from irritated eyes when we use this shampoo. Oh, and the smell is amazing too. It is definitely a fresh body wash. Even after his bath, I loved smelling his freshly washed hair...he smelled so clean and shiny!!

I was very impressed with how nicely this shampoo and body wash worked on Hannah's hair too. Her hair is  very long and it gets tangled very easily when I try to brush it out. Well, she had her bath last night and this morning while I was fixing her hair for church, there were NO tangles. Her hair was silky and soft. I didn't have to use any detangler spray and that was a first! This is probably the first time in a long time that she hasn't yelled at me for pulling her hair while combing it.

It's good to know that this Dial Kids Body and Hair Wash is tear free, hypoallergenic, free of artificial dyes and added parabens and Ph balanced. Smoobee Magic No Cry Brush Review & Giveaway

I just love having a little girl! From the time Hannah was born, I have enjoyed dressing her up and making her look cute. She has always been beautiful (I may be a little biased...) and looks so cute in ruffles and lace. When she was a newborn, she had the most gorgeous head of dark hair but by 3 months, every last hair fell out. I was sooo sad. That meant that I could not put barrettes in her hair until it grew out again. Well, she will be four in August and her hair is down to about the middle of her back now. I have always used a fine tooth comb on her hair because it is easy to get all the hair into a ponytail or pigtail...depending on what we are doing on a particular day. That fine-toothed comb is MY best friend, but not hers. She is always saying "OW  mommy! You're hurting me!!", and pulls away from me when I try to do her hair. It made her hair so soft and fluffy, there was absolutely no crying or fussing...which made me feel great. 

After I was done, then she held onto the brush for the rest of the day, making sure she showed daddy as soon as he came home from work. She carries it all around with her and I cannot put her hair up for now as she is constantly brushing it. 

Before I even saw the suggestion on the website, I thought that this would make a great birthday party favor for little girls...you could have them decorate it at the party and then take it home afterwards!! How fun would that be?!? I love that idea.
