My children are in the early throes of learning how to brush their teeth. I have been working with my daughter for over a year now and she pretty much has it down. Maybe I will win the worst mother of the year award because I just now have started to teach Jacob, at two years old. As with anything, teaching children takes dedication and consistency and some days, it is very hard to remember everything I need to do with them every day. Oral care is extremely important...especially in children. I have often heard that because they start out with baby teeth, and those teeth fall out, oral care isn't as important now. Most children brush their teeth for an average of 7 seconds. Only 7 seconds to clean off bacteria, remove plaque and whiten their smiles. Vortex toothpaste makes brushing more effective by slowly changing color over time encouraging kids to brush longer. The kaleidoscope of color draws out the brushing experience so that the child will brush two times longer. Vortex works through the simple combination of different colors, red and blue turn purple. Vortex is made with two parts, one part is one primary color and the other part is another primary color. When agitated the colors mix producing a vibrant new color purple. 

Traditional toothpastes need heavy mint flavors to mask the bitter tasting foaming agent they contain in high concentrations. Vortex does not have the potentially dangerous foaming agent and thus can carry a gentle and delicious flavor. Vortex has nothing to hide and this is demonstrated in its sparklingly clean taste. 

I always appreciate products that are created with children in mind. Parents know what it takes for children to do something that might not be fun and we need products like Vortex to make our jobs easier!

So, for this review I was sent a full-sized tube of Vortex Color Changing Toothpaste to try and allow my children to use. I love the colors and picture on the tube...my children know exactly which tube of toothpaste is theirs!

So, the color changing "magic" is pretty simple. When you unscrew the top, you will see two holes. One has blue gel in it and the other has pink gel.

All you do is squeeze a small amount on the child's toothbrush and as they brush, the two colors mix...creating a fun PURPLE color!

Brushing teeth is pretty serious business around here and my children LOVED using this toothpaste. My daughter especially. She is very dedicated when it comes to brushing her teeth and she always asks for this toothpaste. It doesn't foam at all, but you don't have to worry that it isn't working. It contains no strange chemicals and no foaming agents. It does contain fluoride, xylitol (a natural sweetener) and hydrated silica. All of these ingredients help to clean your child's teeth...all while making the process taste yummy!

So, in my opinion...Vortex Color Changing Toothpaste is wonderful! My children loved the flavor and the fact that the toothpaste changed color. Making their teeth brushing experience fun is important to me, but I want to also make sure the toothpaste is doing its job. I would definitely recommend this toothpaste to any parent, care-taker, grand parent or anyone who has children in their lives. This is a fantastic product that no parent should be without! This would also make a really fun and practical Christmas gift for that special child on your list. :)
