SuperCrema Skin Care Review

We are not completely out of the summer months around here yet but we are definitely pressing on towards cooler temperatures! YAY! After summer, our skin can look so worn out from exposure to the sun and other summer elements...it is nice to have something nice to apply to our skin to help it rebuild, re-energize and recover some of the lost nutrients.
Today, I wanted to tell you a little bit about a company called SuperCrema that can really help to restore your skin to a healthier condition. SuperCrema makes a bio-natural creamy balm for the face and body and this cream contains 100% Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Olive Oil is extremely good for your skin and it is always nice to find out about companies that offer beauty products like this. Here is a bit more about this company...

SuperCrema Skincare (Italian for "SuperCream")
is Italy's most potent and precious Bio-Natural
Creamy Balm for Face & Body. All 100% Natural
Beauty from Italy.

SuperCrema Skincare focuses on the amazing
benefits of its 100% all natural ingredients:
Premium Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Beeswax
and Sweet Almond Oil - rich in antioxidants vitamins
A, B and E and in anti-aging properties.

So, for this review I was sent a small sample sized tube of their SuperCrema Bio-Natural Creamy Balm. I was really interested to see what this cream was like, given the wholesome ingredients.
This cream is super thick, almost like a salve. I could see right away that you would need only a small amount to achieve a nice layer on your skin. There is not much odor at all and it seems to be very luxurious. I used this cream on my arms and also on my hands. I will say that I wasn't thrilled with how slowly it absorbed...it seemed a bit on the greasy side but once it was absorbed, it felt fine. Because I am constantly using my hands, this would not be a good cream to use during the day; but at night, it would be very beneficial I believe. Because Olive Oil is so good for my skin, I will most likely be using this cream throughout the fall and winter months.
SuperCrema Bio-Natural Creamy Balm retails for $24.95 and you can purchase it directly from SuperCrema's website. I would like to recommend this cream for anyone who is looking to rejuvenate and refresh their skin in these months following the summer. Check it out today and see how it works for you.

Disclaimer: I received no monetary compensation for this post. I did receive free SuperCrema products for review purposes. All quotes and stock photos are from the SuperCrema website and email.  All thoughts and opinions are 100% mine.

Your Official Summer Sunburn Treatment: SunBurnt Gel and First°Degree Burn Cream {Review}

Wow...it is August 13th and still, we are enjoying summer. Summer brings so many fun, outdoor activities; swimming, boating, picnics and barbecues, playing at the park, visiting local fairs and carnivals and just being outside. The only unpleasant thing about summer is the fact that the sun's rays are so hot and dangerous, I have to slather my children with sunscreen before doing anything outside. Their tender skin gets burnt so easily. I remember one FEBRUARY we took a trip to Florida and my daughter was 6 months old at the time. We spent a good amount of time outside and she got soooo burnt. I don't remember now why she was burnt so badly...I think I just forgot to put sunscreen on her. So sad. She didn't complain too much but I sure did feel bad about it. Then, there was the time we went to an Airshow and I got a bad case of sun poisoning. I was burnt badly and felt like I had a fever. It was horrible. I was very appreciative for sunburn remedies that I had laying around the house during the recovery period of that burn. Ouch...it was bad.
When it comes to treating a sunburn, there are many options available. Today, I wanted to take a minute to tell you about two products that I have tried and have found that they work beautifully. SunBurnt and First°Degree are a cream and a gel that were created by a company called Welmedix, which is a leading over-the-counter wound care company. Here is a bit more about these products...which can quickly become a favorite for all of us moms...

SunBurnt® is formulated specifically to address the key symptoms of sunburn: overheating and dryness of skin, peeling, pain and redness. Its natural homeopathic extracts act safely and effectively to (1) cool overheated skin, (2) soothe and hydrate skin, and (3) reduce the appearance of unsightly redness & peeling. SunBurnt’s homeopathic active ingredients work with the body’s natural healing mechanism to restore the skin’s health and moisture balance.
Only SunBurnt® after sun gel contains a patented combination of three active naturals plus non-sticky aloe to provide superior after sun recovery.

First°Degree® Burn Cream:  First°Degree® is an over-the-counter cream specially formulated to care for and treat epidermal burns that occur in the everyday home setting, while cooking, grilling, curling or straightening hair, and working in the garage.  It soothes and cools the burn, protects against infection, and helps reduce the appearance of scars.  Its unique patented actives work with the body to help heal minor burns; providing a more complete burn care solution for consumers.

Outdoor burns are bad enough but how about those burns you acquire while working in and around the house? I was burned once by escaping steam that came from my crock pot lid being lifted. WOW, that hurt really, really bad. I was really excited to learn about these two products and about the opportunity to try them out for myself. Summer is not over yet and sunburns are still happening.
So, for this review I was sent a tube of SunBurnt Gel and a tube of First°Degree Burn Cream. I really didn't have the opportunity to use these until this past weekend. Our family went to a huge county fair and I made sure the children had sunscreen on but I didn't put any on. The reason for this is because I like a little color but sadly, I got more than a "little" color.
I really REALLY like the SunBurnt Gel. This is so easy to use and brings immediate relief. One thing about sunburns is that they can dry out your skin terribly. Your skin can feel tight and honestly, that is one of the worst feelings. The burning of a sunburn is seemingly incurable at times, depending on the severity of the burn. I found that my most sun burnt area on my body was my face. The only white part of my skin was around my eyes where I had sunglasses on. Other than that area, I was red. Lobster red. This gel felt wonderful. It soothed, hydrated and really made my skin feel nice all around. I am definitely keeping this handy for future use...it is great! SunBurnt retails anywhere from $4.99 to $9.99 depending on the size and you can find it CVS and Walgreens.
Along with SunBurnt, I used the First°Degree Burn Cream. This cream is for sunburns but can also be used for household burns and burns that are acquired by doing work outside on the grill, around lawnmowers, etc. This product is an actual cream that is designed to prevent infection (never had that before), reduce scarring and soothe the pain that burns cause. Whenever I get a really bad sunburn, I have difficulty sleeping because of pain. This cream was great for that because it really calmed the pain down significantly. The scent is not unpleasant at all and it is nice to have a cream that goes on easy and makes you feel better. My children do get sunburns on occasion and this cream is good for the entire family...good to know! First°Degree can be purchased at mass retailers and drug stores across the country and will cost $6.74 for the burn cream and $7.99 for the Burn Spray at most retailers.
So, in my opinion...SunBurnt Gel and First°Degree Burn Cream are wonderful products. I found that they effectively treated my sunburn and really did leave my skin feeling soft and nourished. With summer coming to a close, make sure you have a good supply of these two products on hand for those pesky burns that can happen. Also, remember that you can also get sunburned in the winter time when doing activities like skiing, ice skating and sled riding. The sun's rays are still powerful even in the winter so you might still want these products for that time of year as well. Please check out SunBurnt and First°Degree today and be prepared for whatever the sun might bring your way.

Organix-South Review & Giveaway

Skin care is probably one of the biggest themes that I have going on around here right now. It seems that our skin really takes a beating and companies know this. So, it is no wonder that I keep discovering new companies that offer natural skin care products that are suitable for the entire family. One of the skin care items that I have been looking to try is an all natural bug repellent. Oh my goodness...the mosquitoes this year are the size of Africa! Every time I go outside...even during the day, the mosquitoes are out in full force and I get so many bites. It doesn't help that it has been a wetter summer and we have a huge, water-logged field behind our house FULL of standing water. This equals wonderful breeding conditions for those pesky biting critters. The other night, I was lying in bed when I heard that tell-tale sound of a mosquito. I stood up and immediately turned on the light-ready for battle. Unfortunately, I never did find that stupid mosquito but I sure did give it a good try!
Anyway, today I am going to introduce you to Organix-South; a company that specializes in Neem-based natural products. Neem is a tree that is native to India and this tree holds many cosmetic and agricultural uses. Organix-South carries many different products that are used for personal care, beauty, gardens and also for pets! Here is a bit more about this company and their mission...

We are the world’s leading manufacturer of certified-organic Neem products. Organix-South is a rapidly growing natural products division of Nutraceutical Corporation, located in rural central Florida supporting USA jobs. We are a young and idealistic group of individuals who believe that the details matter and that the journey is half the fun. We are committed to promoting organic, fairly traded and ethically wild-crafted herbal dietary supplements and protective body care products. Our mission is to create wholesome and natural products while taking care of the planet.

I love reviewing products that are natural, organic and wild-crafted. They have such unique properties that WORK for my family and I...I just can't help but share these companies and products with you!
So, for this review I was thrilled to receive the following products from Organix-South's TheraNeem line...

Neem Liquid Castile Soap
TheraNeem Leaf & Oil Lotion
Neem Mouthwash
Nail & Cuticle Pen
Naked Organix Neem Butter To Go
Neem Herbal Outdoor Spray

I was very excited to dig into my goodies and I wasted no time getting to know Organix-South. :) First, I tried the Leaf & Oil Lotion.
This lotion is very nice. It feels great going on my skin and absorbs quickly while still making my skin feel nourished. I also loved that it didn't feel greasy, smelled pleasant and when I washed my skin, it didn't leave a filmy layer...you know how some lotions can still feel thick and goopy after washing your hands? This is not like that at all. I am wanting my husband to try this out as he has extremely itchy skin and this lotion is also good for that ailment. The travel sized Leaf & Oil Lotion that I received retails for $1.95.
Next, I tried the Naked Organix Neem Butter To Go. This is a unique product as it can be used for your lips, body and face. Now, I have only used it on my lips so far and have found that the taste is not pleasant. SO, I will probably keep it away from my lips and use it on my skin from now on. I will also say that it felt WONDERFUL on my lips so if I can convince myself to get beyond the taste, I might use it on my lips more often. :) My daughter loves any type of lip care product and so she also tried out this Butter. She didn't come back for more so I am assuming it is because of the taste. The Naked Organix Neem Butter To Go retails for $5.99.
The Neem Mouthwash is very nice as well. It definitely has some herbal undertones to it and yet, is very minty and fresh tasting. After using, my mouth did feel clean and it did seem to completely freshen my breath as well. The color threw me off though...brown mouthwash isn't the norm around here but something that I can definitely get used to. :) Neem Mouthwash retails for $3.99/Travel Size and $13.49/Full Size bottle.
I have never seen a Nail & Cuticle Pen like this one before. Confession time: I am a nail-biter. Sometimes. One of the reasons I bite my nails is because they get split and instead of getting nail clippers, I bite them off. Nail biting is not something that I have always done as an adult, but rather shows up when I am stressed or sick. So, having a product like this Nail & Cuticle Pen is great because it can both strenghten my nails as well as keep the cuticles healthy. It is so easy to use as well...simply tilt the pen downward until you see some oil in the tip. Then, brush the oil onto your nails and cuticles. I have sore cuticles as well and this pen works really nicely to soothe them. I am LOVING this pen and am definitely going to keep using it! The Nail & Cuticle Pen retails for $15.49.
In the beginning of this post I spoke about mosquitoes. Well, we had a lot of work to do outside last night and I was dreading it because of the bugs. I. Hate. Bugs. Period. They are annoying and they bite and they buzz around my head in endless circles. So, before I started my work I applied the Neem Herbal Outdoor Spray. This spray was originally developed for the Florida Everglades and I just knew it had to be good if it was made for Florida. You all know about the bugs that are down there! YUCK. This spray goes on in a thick spray rather than a mist so you need to spread it around with your hands after applying. I made sure to cover my arms, neck, legs and head. The smell definitely tells you that it is a bug repellent...but I don't mind at all! I also put this on my children and husband as well. Mosquitoes are HORRIBLE here and so we need something really effective. Well, after being outside for over 2 hours I have to say that this spray worked wonderfully! The bugs that were around me prior to using this spray disappeared after I used the spray and I was hooked. So, make sure if you are planning a campfire, picnic or hike that you have this Herbal Outdoor Spray handy. IT WORKS. The Neem Herbal Outdoor Spray retails for $9.29 and is worth every penny.
Last but not least I tried the Neem Liquid Soap. This soap is brown in color and seems watery. However, when you rub your hands together you do get a nice lather so don't let the consistency fool you. It can be used for body wash, bath soak, facial cleanser and some other uses as well. This particular liquid soap is unscented so if you are sensitive to scented products, this would suit you perfectly! You really do not need much and it leaves your hands feeling clean and soft. I had no issues with this soap drying out my skin either. The Neem Liquid Soap retails for $12.95.

Personally, I have been loving using these TheraNeem products from Organix-South. They are gentle on my skin and I love using natural products. The facts that these products are safe for my entire family is also relieving...my children have sensitive skin so using these products on them has been wonderful as well. I would definitely recommend Organix-South for anyone out there who is looking to use more natural-based and healthy products.
Organix-South has offered to give away a 'Summer Essentials' Prize Pack to one of YOU! This pack contains everything I received. Here are your entry options...

Zim's Naturally-Based Products Review & Giveaway

Can you believe we are in August already??? My lands...it seems like we were just getting out the summer clothes and opening the windows to get all the stuffy winter air out of the house. Like it or not, summer will be soon drawing to a close and we will be in the winter months once again. Summer time calls for loads of projects...especially for us. We have officially been in our new house for 6 months now and when we first moved in, I compiled a list of projects that we need/would like to have done. One of the projects that we wanted to complete was to make the bonfire pit more eye-appealing and functional. That project entailed a lot of digging and moving of dirt...something that was very back-breaking for my hubby. Aches and pains just seem to come with work and taking care of our bodies should be a priority-although it is neglected most of the time.
Today, I am going to introduce you to a company that is totally new to me, yet is truly a wonderful company! Zim's Naturally-Based Products was first founded over 60 years ago by a pharmacist in Austintown, Ohio. His concern for cement worker's skin led him to create an all-natural, herbal liquid that was soon known as "Cement Workers' Lotion". Here is a bit more about this company and what they offer...

Zim's® started over 60 years ago with the creation of Zim's Crack Creme® by a pharmacist in Austintown, Ohio.

Today, the Zim's® brand has expanded to over 25 products ranging from lotions and cremes to pain relief gels and diabetic care items. The Zim's Max-Freeze® brand provides an affordable topical pain relief gel that emphasizes the use of natural ingredients such as Ilex Flower and Aloe Vera.

Zim's® continues to offer exceptional naturally-based products from a small town in Ohio.

Having never heard of Zim's before, I was really interested in their products and was also wanting to find out if their Crack Creme would work on my feet, which are really dry right now.
So, for this review I was sent Zim's Crack Creme and Zim's Max-Freeze for muscles and joints. My husband has been dealing with some pretty severe pain in one of his fingers and even after two surgeries, is still suffering. He has tried different hot/cold/icy products on his finger and they help...but not to the extent that he would like. So, that was another reason I wanted to try out Zim's...to see if it would help my hubby with his pain issues.
Zim's Max-Freeze smells like a muscle rub because it contains Menthol. It is a topical analgesic formula designed to deliver temporary relief to aching muscles and joints. As soon as my package arrived from Zim's I immediately gave the tube to my hubby so he could put some on his finger. I will say that we are fairly certain that he is dealing with nerve pain and we weren't certain that this product would help. Well, it must have done something good for him because the other evening he was asking me where the tube of "freeze stuff" was as he said it helped his finger. That made me SO happy! :) Zim's Max-Freeze is good for muscle pain and strains, back, shoulder and neck sprains and any other bone/joint pain that you experience. I don't typically use products like these because hubby does all the difficult work around here but now and then I wake up with a stiff neck and this is exactly what I reach for. Zim's Max-Freeze features:

-Certified Organic Ilex
-Certified Organic Arnica
-Certified Organic Aloe
-No Parabens, Synthetic Fragrance, Sulfates, Paraffins, DEA, Petrolatum, or Mineral Oil

It is also non-greasy and doesn't stain. I love this product and will definitely be handing it over to hubby for his use (and borrowing it when I need it!).
Zim's Crack Creme is WONDERFUL. I use foot creams regularly and was interested to see how this stood up to the other brands that I use. In a word, fantastic. This formula is creamy and applies really easily. I love how you can use it on different areas of your body, not just your feet.
As you can see, you can use it on your hands, feet, elbows, knees and cuticles. Having one product that takes care of different areas is really handy...especially since I use different creams for different areas. Crack Creme is soft, easy to apply and non-greasy.
Zim's Crack Creme smells like an herbal product, definitely. I put a generous amount on my heels and let it soak in for a few minutes. Then, I was off doing dishes and fixing lunch for my little ones. I noticed right away that it was not greasy because I wasn't sliding all over the floor. Having something like this that absorbs quickly is great...especially since I don't have a lot of time to sit and let it absorb. I noticed that my scratchy heels were softer than before and also, that they were smooth and didn't catch on the carpet or my slippers. WONDERFUL! I will definitely be using this on a regular basis to help combat my dry feet. Also, when winter comes, I am looking forward to using Zim's Crack Creme on my hands as they get super dry in the winter months.

Zim's Crack Creme retails for $3.99 and Zim's Max-Freeze (tube) retails for $9.99. You can find Zim's products at Walmart, Walgreens, Rite Aid and other mass retailers across the country. Zim's can also be found on Facebook as well as Twitter so be sure you stop by and visit them there too.
So, in my opinion...I am so grateful to have "met" Zim's. I truly believe that my family and I will benefit from their products and I am thrilled to have found yet another company that focuses on using natural ingredients to treat daily aches and pains. I would definitely recommend Zim's to anyone...visit them today and become acquainted with the natural way to treat your infirmities!

Zim's has offered to giveaway either a tube of Max-Freeze OR Crack Creme to one of you! The winner will have their choice of product.  Here are your entry options...
