Carmex Limited Edition Moisture Plus Collection Review & Giveaway

I am a HUGE lip balm fan. I love anything that adds a bit of shine or a touch of neutral color. My style is not in-your-face, bold and outrageous, but rather quiet, subtle and neutral. Favorite lip colors are blushy rose, cafe' au lait and clear. This time of the year the wind is quite unforgiving and I find my lips are getting drier. With the dryness of the air, it is time to once again break out the lip moisturizers and I have some of my all-time favorites from which I can choose. One of my favorite lip and skin care companies is Carmex and currently, theirs is the brand I am using.
Carmex has recently come out with a brand new Limited Edition Moisture Plus Collection and friends, this collection is SO fun! Each lip balm is graphically printed with a design that will appeal to every Carmex user. With prints like a refined black and white pattern to whimsical, colorful designs, this new collection will allow you to express your personality in a truly fashionable and fun way. Before I introduce you to this collection of lip balms, here is a bit more about Carmex...

Founded by Alfred Woelbing - the inventor of Carmex® Lip Balm – Carma Laboratories Inc. is a family owned and operated business that employs more than 100 people in Franklin, Wis. Carma Laboratories makes Carmex brand lip balms, including a premium lip balm called Carmex Moisture Plus™ ultra hydrating lip balm, and Carmex skin care products. Carmex is available in major drug, food and mass merchant retailers, at convenience stores throughout the United States, online and in more than 35 countries around the world.

I have been a Carmex fan for some time now and have a hard time deciding which I like better, the lip moisturizer or the lotion. Right now, I am using the lotion multiple times a day because it absorbs quickly, isn't greasy and works extremely well for me. I was thrilled when I heard about the Limited Edition Moisture Plus Collection and could not wait to try it out!
So, for this review I was sent all four lip moisturizers from this collection: Whimsical (multi-colored), Fab (purple), Chic (black and white) and Adventurous (leopard print). My package arrived in this cute little box the other day and it was all I could do to NOT get into it right then and there!
I have to say that I just LOVE the bright and stylish colors. There truly is a style for everyone! Each stick is slimline and will fit nicely into any pocket, purse, glove box, wallet and diaper bag.
As always, the Moisture Plus formula is amazing. To me, it has a slight orange flavor and is very silky smooth. When I apply it to my lips, my lips stay moist for hours...which is one factor I consider what lip balms I want to use.
When you are trying to decide which "personality" you are, Carmex has developed a really neat quiz to help you determine which style fits you best. This Uniquely You Personality Quiz is super easy to take and I found out that I am the "Chic" (black and white) style...which is pretty accurate! My sticks also came with neat little cards that explain each lip moisturizer's style and I thought this was a cute touch.
My lip balm sampler was on hand for this review and so I let her pick out the one she liked the best and give it a try. She picked Whimsical because she loved all the bright colors...that IS her personality too...wild and crazy. :) She loved it and it ended up helping her lips feel a bit better. She has been chapped and this helped to give her just a bit more moisture.
So, if you are looking for some great stocking stuffers or small gift ideas, be sure to check out the Carmex Limited Edition Moisture Plus Collection. It is chic, trendy, stylish and PERFECT for any gal on your list this holiday season! You can find this collection at mass retailers and drug stores across the country.
Carmex has offered to giveaway a set of the Limited Edition Moisture Plus Collection to one of you! Here are your entry options...

EyeDoll Chatter ~ Mineral Makeup for Girls Review

For all of you moms out there that have little girls, how many times have you been spritzing on your perfume, fixing your hair or putting on your makeup when your little girl comes in and wants to "look like mommy too"? I cannot tell you just how many times my 5 year old has walked in on me getting ready for the day and asks to have some of whatever I am applying. She loves to wear my hair barrettes and sneaks my perfume once in awhile. Sometimes her room smells just like my perfume and I know what she has been up to. :) She watches me put on a bit of makeup when I am getting ready for a dinner date with daddy and of course, asks 101 questions about what I am doing and where I am going and when she can wear what I am wearing. I always knew that having a little girl would be fun, I just didn't realize how much she would want to be like me!
When it comes to any type of beauty product for my daughter, I like to use products that are as natural as I can find. These days, not too many manufacturers take children's sensitive and "young" skin into consideration so when I find a company that focuses on clean products for children, I tend to stick with them. Recently, I became acquainted with a company called EyeDoll Chatter and they make natural, scented mineral makeup for girls!
So, for the purpose of this review I was sent some products from EyeDoll Chatter to share with my daughter and also with you! I was sent two lip gloss minis in Strawberry  and SRSLY Scarlet and an application brush, two blush minis in Cupcake and Pink Tiara with an application brush and eye shimmers/colors in Birthday Cake and BFF Blue, along with another application brush. These 2.5 gram containers are the perfect size for little girls and the brushes are also small and cute...which I really loved.
I was not sure how using this makeup would go but my daughter begged me to try it so we sat down one day and gave it a whirl. She got right into it and we first began with the lip gloss. She loves both colors and I love the fact that she can use either colored or clear. The actual gloss itself is easy to apply and isn't hard to get out of the container either.
Oh, she felt like a real lady putting on her lip gloss. :) The lip gloss comes in six fun flavors/colors - SRSLY Scarlet, Strawberry, QT Sparkle Lip Gloss, P911 Pink Lip Gloss, Lemonade flavored and Banana flavored. Each mini lip gloss retails for $4.00 or you can get a multi-pack containing 6 minis for $15.00.
Hannah did have some help from mommy when it came to the blush as it kind of gets out of control if you don't just use a little bit. She smiled the entire time I swept the brush across her cheeks. These colors are so subtle and look so great when applied...it's no wonder they are such a hit with girls! Like the lip gloss, the blush comes in 6 flavors/scents and is also available in the multi-pack. Prices are the same as the lip gloss as well.
So, doesn't my pretty little girl look lovely?? I just love the quiet, gentle colors. She has really sensitive skin and this mineral-based makeup does not effect her skin at all. She is fair skinned and it is nice to have something simple that she can use to make her feel just a tiny bit prettier. Every day since we have tried out this makeup, she has asked for me to help her put it on and she loves to wear it as much as I allow her to.
So, if you would like to find out more information about EyeDoll Chatter, be sure to check out their website and also give them a "Like" on Facebook! They are a wonderful company and would certainly give you many options for gift giving this holiday season. I would definitely recommend them and my daughter and I love the look that this makeup gives us!! Check it out today and make your little girl just a bit more excited to look like mommy!

Disclaimer: I received no monetary compensation for this post. I did receive free EyeDoll Chatter products for review purposes. All quotes and stock photos are from the EyeDoll Chatter website and email.  All thoughts and opinions are 100% mine.

Organix-South Review & Giveaway

Skin care is probably one of the biggest themes that I have going on around here right now. It seems that our skin really takes a beating and companies know this. So, it is no wonder that I keep discovering new companies that offer natural skin care products that are suitable for the entire family. One of the skin care items that I have been looking to try is an all natural bug repellent. Oh my goodness...the mosquitoes this year are the size of Africa! Every time I go outside...even during the day, the mosquitoes are out in full force and I get so many bites. It doesn't help that it has been a wetter summer and we have a huge, water-logged field behind our house FULL of standing water. This equals wonderful breeding conditions for those pesky biting critters. The other night, I was lying in bed when I heard that tell-tale sound of a mosquito. I stood up and immediately turned on the light-ready for battle. Unfortunately, I never did find that stupid mosquito but I sure did give it a good try!
Anyway, today I am going to introduce you to Organix-South; a company that specializes in Neem-based natural products. Neem is a tree that is native to India and this tree holds many cosmetic and agricultural uses. Organix-South carries many different products that are used for personal care, beauty, gardens and also for pets! Here is a bit more about this company and their mission...

We are the world’s leading manufacturer of certified-organic Neem products. Organix-South is a rapidly growing natural products division of Nutraceutical Corporation, located in rural central Florida supporting USA jobs. We are a young and idealistic group of individuals who believe that the details matter and that the journey is half the fun. We are committed to promoting organic, fairly traded and ethically wild-crafted herbal dietary supplements and protective body care products. Our mission is to create wholesome and natural products while taking care of the planet.

I love reviewing products that are natural, organic and wild-crafted. They have such unique properties that WORK for my family and I...I just can't help but share these companies and products with you!
So, for this review I was thrilled to receive the following products from Organix-South's TheraNeem line...

Neem Liquid Castile Soap
TheraNeem Leaf & Oil Lotion
Neem Mouthwash
Nail & Cuticle Pen
Naked Organix Neem Butter To Go
Neem Herbal Outdoor Spray

I was very excited to dig into my goodies and I wasted no time getting to know Organix-South. :) First, I tried the Leaf & Oil Lotion.
This lotion is very nice. It feels great going on my skin and absorbs quickly while still making my skin feel nourished. I also loved that it didn't feel greasy, smelled pleasant and when I washed my skin, it didn't leave a filmy layer...you know how some lotions can still feel thick and goopy after washing your hands? This is not like that at all. I am wanting my husband to try this out as he has extremely itchy skin and this lotion is also good for that ailment. The travel sized Leaf & Oil Lotion that I received retails for $1.95.
Next, I tried the Naked Organix Neem Butter To Go. This is a unique product as it can be used for your lips, body and face. Now, I have only used it on my lips so far and have found that the taste is not pleasant. SO, I will probably keep it away from my lips and use it on my skin from now on. I will also say that it felt WONDERFUL on my lips so if I can convince myself to get beyond the taste, I might use it on my lips more often. :) My daughter loves any type of lip care product and so she also tried out this Butter. She didn't come back for more so I am assuming it is because of the taste. The Naked Organix Neem Butter To Go retails for $5.99.
The Neem Mouthwash is very nice as well. It definitely has some herbal undertones to it and yet, is very minty and fresh tasting. After using, my mouth did feel clean and it did seem to completely freshen my breath as well. The color threw me off though...brown mouthwash isn't the norm around here but something that I can definitely get used to. :) Neem Mouthwash retails for $3.99/Travel Size and $13.49/Full Size bottle.
I have never seen a Nail & Cuticle Pen like this one before. Confession time: I am a nail-biter. Sometimes. One of the reasons I bite my nails is because they get split and instead of getting nail clippers, I bite them off. Nail biting is not something that I have always done as an adult, but rather shows up when I am stressed or sick. So, having a product like this Nail & Cuticle Pen is great because it can both strenghten my nails as well as keep the cuticles healthy. It is so easy to use as well...simply tilt the pen downward until you see some oil in the tip. Then, brush the oil onto your nails and cuticles. I have sore cuticles as well and this pen works really nicely to soothe them. I am LOVING this pen and am definitely going to keep using it! The Nail & Cuticle Pen retails for $15.49.
In the beginning of this post I spoke about mosquitoes. Well, we had a lot of work to do outside last night and I was dreading it because of the bugs. I. Hate. Bugs. Period. They are annoying and they bite and they buzz around my head in endless circles. So, before I started my work I applied the Neem Herbal Outdoor Spray. This spray was originally developed for the Florida Everglades and I just knew it had to be good if it was made for Florida. You all know about the bugs that are down there! YUCK. This spray goes on in a thick spray rather than a mist so you need to spread it around with your hands after applying. I made sure to cover my arms, neck, legs and head. The smell definitely tells you that it is a bug repellent...but I don't mind at all! I also put this on my children and husband as well. Mosquitoes are HORRIBLE here and so we need something really effective. Well, after being outside for over 2 hours I have to say that this spray worked wonderfully! The bugs that were around me prior to using this spray disappeared after I used the spray and I was hooked. So, make sure if you are planning a campfire, picnic or hike that you have this Herbal Outdoor Spray handy. IT WORKS. The Neem Herbal Outdoor Spray retails for $9.29 and is worth every penny.
Last but not least I tried the Neem Liquid Soap. This soap is brown in color and seems watery. However, when you rub your hands together you do get a nice lather so don't let the consistency fool you. It can be used for body wash, bath soak, facial cleanser and some other uses as well. This particular liquid soap is unscented so if you are sensitive to scented products, this would suit you perfectly! You really do not need much and it leaves your hands feeling clean and soft. I had no issues with this soap drying out my skin either. The Neem Liquid Soap retails for $12.95.

Personally, I have been loving using these TheraNeem products from Organix-South. They are gentle on my skin and I love using natural products. The facts that these products are safe for my entire family is also relieving...my children have sensitive skin so using these products on them has been wonderful as well. I would definitely recommend Organix-South for anyone out there who is looking to use more natural-based and healthy products.
Organix-South has offered to give away a 'Summer Essentials' Prize Pack to one of YOU! This pack contains everything I received. Here are your entry options...

Crunchy Mamas Review & Giveaway

Well, if you have been a follower of this blog for any length of time then you will notice that I am a fan of natural products. Whether it be natural cleaning products, natural baby products or natural beauty products, I pretty much try to keep you (my lovely readers) up to speed on what I have discovered. I am totally in love with so many different types of natural products, I just can't help but share these fantastic finds with all of you. Today, it is time to introduce you to my latest discovery and let me tell you...it is a LOVELY company!
Whenever you hear the term "Crunchy" and it is not in reference to food, you are probably about to find out about something natural and earth-friendly. Crunchy Mamas is a company that makes all natural products for you and for your family---hygienically speaking. Crunchy Mamas was founded by - you guessed it - two mamas who have a love and a passion for all things natural! From their website, here is a bit more about Katie and Ashley...
I'm Ashley (pictured on the left), the frazzled, frizzy haired, stay-at-home Crunchy Mama. I have three little men, a bun in the oven (yep, this little food monger is a boy too), and a handsome ginger that keep me company. I've been making my own toiletries and personal hygiene products for my family for years and I was thrilled when the opportunity presented itself for Katie and I to spread the goods.

Hi, I'm Katie (pictured on the right). I am a crunchy mother and wife to husband Dustin and two kids, Bean and Ida. Then there are the 4 dogs, cat, cows, chickens and whatever other critters I'm forgetting. I began my quest towards crunchiness, God and homemaking all at the same time, 4 years ago. It's been an amazing, yet bumpy road that finally landed me at developing Crunchy Mamas with my sis Ashley. Ashley and I met when I married her brother 10 years ago and we are mutually crazy/weird. We began creating the products we either couldn't find or were dissatisfied with. Crunchy Mamas was born when we realized others were interested in what these two, simple Moms had to offer.

My personal desire for Crunchy Mamas is to provide you with chemical free, down to earth products using only the best ingredients. Thank you so much for allowing me the privilege of doing something that I love for you. I am having so much fun creating Crunchy Mamas goods and can't wait to see where the road takes us next!

Mmmmmmmmm...I just love mommy-founded companies. They truly are some of the best companies because moms always know best! I trust the products that come out of these companies and Crunchy Mamas is no exception. They have proved to me that they truly have my best interest at heart.
So, for this review I was sent some lovely products to try and just wait until you hear the names of these products...TOTALLY cute! :) I was sent... Crusty Foot, Honey Lemon Lip Balm, Smelly Face Serum and Grapefruit Hand Sanitizer. Ha ha...don't you just LOVE the names?!?
First, I tried the Honey Lemon Lip Balm. You can really taste the natural honey in this balm and it also applies very easily and smoothly. It isn't hard at all but is actually kind of creamy in texture...not at all waxy either. I also love the fact that they printed a Bible verse reference on this stick...and it is for Psalm 141:3 which reads... "Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips." I love it. Such a great reminder to always watch what we say and I can be reminded of that each time I use this lip balm. :) The All Natural Lip Balm retails for $3.
OK. So, I don't typically make it a habit to put pictures up of my feet HOWEVER, I wanted to show you my Crusty Foot in action. This product is sooo wonderful and I will tell you why. It is made out of the following ingredients: organic enrefined coconut oil, beeswax, vitamin e, organic hemp seed oil, organic tamanu oil, organic chamomile essential oil, organic lavender essential oil, organic patchouli essential oil. Crusty Foot is like foot balm in a tube...non-greasy, easy to apply and it smells luscious. If you like "earthy" scented products than this one is for you! Within several minutes of applying this balm to my feet, my feet felt nourished and softer than they had been. I love to use this at night before bed because my feet can rest and be restored while I sleep. Crusty Foot retails for $7.
The Smelly Face Serum (not for use when you are pregnant) is also a lovely product from Crunchy Mamas and this is meant to be applied to your skin after bathing or cleansing. One of the things I love about this serum is that it is not greasy at all. It is meant for all skin types so if you have dry or oily skin, this is beneficial to you! Containing pure and organic essential oils this serum is great for combating wrinkles, age spots, UV damage, acne, dark circles and much more! I tend to have issues with blackheads and breakouts especially when I am dealing with PMS and I have found that this serum is really nourishing to my skin. It smells lovely and really does aid in keeping the skin soft and smooth. Smelly Face Serum retails for $19.
Last but not least I am thoroughly loving and appreciating the Grapefruit Hand Sanitizer. I find myself lacking hand sanitizer at the most inopportune times and am so grateful for this particular product. For anyone who is a mom...YOU NEED THIS! Stick it in your diaper bag, glove box, purse and stroller-it is wonderful to have on hand! My little ones are constantly touching things that are dirty so it is nice to have this on hand. I love the fact that it is a spray bottle so that I can spray it on my children's hands. It is easy to use, fragrant and organic hand sanitizer and, best of all, it is affordable. This Hand Sanitizer (which comes in Grapefruit or Lavender-Lemon scent) retails for just $5.
Crunchy Mamas also carries other wonderful products such as Deet-free Bug Off , Baby Butt Balm, Scab Stick and so much more. You can be sure that whatever you order from Crunchy Mamas will be organic and very high quality. Thinking ahead, how about considering Crunchy Mamas for your Christmas gift list? Many of their products are small enough to fit in a stocking and would be a great gift. Just wanted to put the idea out there. :) Be sure to check out Crunchy Mamas on Facebook and also on Twitter! These two gals always have something fun up their sleeves.

Also, especially for my readers, if you use the coupon code "sally", you will get 10% off your purchase! YAAY! :)
Crunchy Mamas has offered to giveaway the same products I reviewed to one of you! Here are your entry options...

DIY Tony Awards Red Carpet Looks from Mary Kay! {Review & Giveaway}

Well, it is that time of year again. Celebrities have been making their way down the red carpet and although I don't watch the awards ceremonies, I know from past experience that they do their very best to look fantastic. I have seen some gorgeous and down right hideous looks on the red carpet and this year, some of the makeup has been lovely! Mary Kay, as always, is doing their very best to make sure every woman can look just like their favorite celebrity and they have rolled out some really great looks that anyone can achieve! These two looks come from the very recent Tony Awards and they are stunning!

The first look that Mary Kay has re-created is that of Scarlett Johansson and here is how they did it...
Pucker up in a bold red lip inspired by Scarlett Johansson
  • Cover the entire eyelid with Mary Kay Cream Eye Color in Apricot Twist and dab Mary Kay Mineral Eye Color in Crystalline onto the inner corners of the eyes and under the brow bones
  • Apply Mary Kay Liquid Eyeliner in Black along the top lash line and wing outward. Generously coat top and bottom lashes with Mary Kay Lash Love Lengthening Mascara in Black
  •  Line lips with Mary Kay Lip Liner in Clear. Apply Mary Kay True Dimensions Lipstick in Sizzling Red directly from the tube, using a lip brush if needed. Blot with Mary Kay Beauty Blotters and reapply for intense, long-lasting wear
  • Apply Mary Kay Luminous-Wear Liquid Foundation and contour using Mary Kay Mineral Bronzing Powering in Sandstone
If you are like me and prefer a more natural, subtle look then you have got to try out Anna Kendrick's look that Mary Kay recreated...it is sooo beautiful! Here is how YOU can look just like her!
Turn heads with defined eyes and a neutral lip inspired by Anna Kendrick
  • Begin with Mary Kay TimeWise Matte-Wear Liquid Foundation then dab Mary Kay Mineral Cheek Color in Sparkling Cider on the apples of the cheeks
  • Apply Mary Kay Mineral Eye Color in White Lilly to the eyelid and up to the brow bone, then blend Mary Kay Mineral Eye Color in Silver Satin onto the eyelid up to the crease
  • Apply Mary Kay Mineral Eye Color in Coal to the outer corner of the eye to create a smoky effect then line top and bottom lashes with Mary Kay Eyeliner in Black and smudge with a smudger brush
  • Generously apply two coats of Mary Kay Lash Love Lengthening Mascara in Black
  • Line lips with Mary Kay Lip Liner in Neutral. Apply Mary Kay True Dimensions Lipstick in Natural Beaute to complete the look
For this review, I was sent some Mary Kay products to try and I love all of them! I wanted to share them briefly with you today and give you an idea of what I did with them. I was sent...

TimeWise Matte-Wear Liquid Foundation
 Luminous-Wear Liquid Foundation
True Dimensions Lipstick in Natural Beaute
True Dimensions Lipstick in Sizzling Red
Mineral Eye Color in White Lily, Crystalline and Silver Satin
Mineral Cheek Color in Sparkling Cider
Mineral Bronzing Powering in Sandstone
Mary Kay Beauty Blotters
Cream Eye Color in Apricot Twist
Lip Liner in Neutral and Clear
Lash Love Lengthening Mascara in Brown
Eyeliner in Black

I was really excited to try some of these looks and so I set right to work. The funny thing about this is that I didn't recreate either one of these looks, but kind of made my own...which turned out really great! I did utilize the tips that were given though and they are wonderful tips that really helped me get a great result.
The first thing I tackled were my eyes. They are the hardest and require the most time so that is typically where I start. I love love LOVE the Mary Kay Mineral Eye Colors...they apply so nicely and look wonderful, especially when you blend light and dark colors together. So, I used the White Lily color on the upper portion of my eye lid and then blended the Silver Satin over the lids and just into the edge of where the White Lily color was. The look was oh so smoky and subtle. :)
I have never used a brown colored mascara but it ended up looking really nice. I thought it would coat my dark lashes with sandy colored mascara but it didn't! I only use Mary Kay Mascara because I have found that it doesn't clump or look thick and also, because it stays put for long periods of time. Long wearing mascara is the best.
The Cream Eye Color is fantastic as well...very simple to apply and it looks so soft and subtle when you are done. I have used this in the past and love it! You can use a cotton swab, foam beauty wedges or cosmetic pads to apply and it looks wonderful.
My lips are probably the most fun to make up and so I was excited to try the True Dimensions Lipstick as it is very moist and smooth and gives my lips a really nice finished look. Now, my undaring self would have first tried out the Natural Beaute color but I decided to go a bit on the wild side and use the Sizzling Red. Oh. My. Goodness. It was VERY red but so gorgeous. I loved how smooth it went on and stayed so smooth even after applying.
I forgot to mention that before applying the Lipstick, you should use a Lip Liner to keep everything in place. Lip Liner also gives you a guide in which you can apply your lipstick without worrying about sloppiness. The Clear Lip Liner works great for light shades of lipstick and the Neutral (which looks pink) works wonderfully for darker lipsticks. Neutral is what I used with the Sizzling Red Lipstick.
Until I met Mary Kay's line of cheek colors, I used whatever brand I thought would look good on me. Now I only ever use Mary Kay and love it! The Mineral Bronzing Powder adds shimmer and dimension to your complexion and it really does highlight well. Mineral Cheek Color is also really nice because it adds a bit of color and more dimension.
Sooo, this is how I looked after playing with all of my makeup. Doesn't it look great? I think the red lipstick is a bit much for me (or not...what do you think?) but it certainly could be used for special occasions. (I just have to keep it out of my daughter's reach or she will try it too!) I still have so much to learn about using makeup but it is fun to try out different products and find out which colors and types work best for my skin.
Each of these and other fabulous Mary Kay beauty products can be found on their website and you can also find a beauty consultant near you to help you decide which products will look the best on you.

So, in my opinion...Mary Kay truly has suceeded in re-creating some great celebrity looks. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking to spruce up their makeup collection this summer and go for a bolder look or just something a bit fresher.

Mary Kay has offered to giveaway one of the above looks to one of you! The winner will have their choice of look...either the Scarlett Johansson look or the Anna Kendrick look. Here are your entry options...

Gorgeous Gifts for Mom on Mother's Day from Mary Kay! {Review & Giveaway}

Mother's Day is quickly approaching and it is time to start thinking of what you are going to give your mom. I wasn't aware of how close Mother's Day actually was until recently and then the search was on for a gift! Mom's love being remembered and they LOVE getting gifts that express just how special they are to you. I remember always wanting to either give something or do something special for my mom on Mother's Day and it didn't matter what it was, she was always so thankful. She has 6 children and we all try to honor her in some way on this very special day of the year.
This year, Mary Kay has some wonderful, pampering gifts that any mom would love to receive and I am going to share them with you all today! Mary Kay is a long-time favorite of mine and I have always loved their makeup, lotions, perfumes and other products. If you are looking for high-quality beauty products, Mary Kay has you covered from head to toe! Recently, I learned of their latest collection of beauty items that is premiering a week from Friday - on March 15th! This collection is called Zen in Bloom and it is gorgeous!

Recently, I was sent some products from this new collection, along with some other tried and true Mary Kay favorites that will pamper and truly treat your mother to a wonderful Mother's Day and I have the privilege of sharing them all with you today!
So, for this review I was sent:

Limited-Edition Mary Kay® Nail Lacquer in Pink Bamboo and Blue Lotus
Limited-Edition Mary Kay® Lip Lacquer (in Chai Latte) with Mini Retractable Lip Brush
Limited-Edition Mary Kay® Zen in Bloom Obi Clutch
Mary Kay Thinking of You Eau de Parfum & Body Lotion
Mary Kay Satin Hands Peach Pampering Set
I was so excited to try these products out!! I am a HUGE nail polish fan (as is my 4 year old daughter) and the other night, we had a "girl's night" and I treated her and I to a little pedicure.
I used both of the nail polishes from the Zen in Bloom Collection ~ Pink Bamboo and Blue Lotus. For my daughter, I applied the Pink Bamboo and she LOVED it! For me, it was Blue Lotus. Now, I am not a blue nail polish wearer and I am still not sure if I love this color or not. I have had it on now for several days and now that I am used to it, I kind of like it. It is a very light and pastel blue polish that really looks fresh and pretty...just like spring! I may just wear it alot this spring and summer. :) Each of these nail polishes from the Zen in Bloom Collection will retail for $9 each.
The next product I tried was the Mary Kay® Lip Lacquer (in Chai Latte). This is unlike anything lip product I have ever used before. I thought "Hmmm...a brush to apply lip gloss?" Yep! This Lip Lacquer comes with a Mini Retractable Lip Brush that you use to apply the gloss.
So, all you do to apply is run the brush over the surface of the Lacquer. Then, start in the middle of your lips and use the brush to sweep the color to the outer edges of your lips. The result is a gorgeous and super glossy look! I love the Chai Latte color too. It is a like a pinkish/nude color and mmmm...it's perfect! LOVE it! The Limited-Edition Mary Kay® Lip Lacquer with Mini Retractable Lip Brush will retail for $16 and will also be available in a Pink Pagoda color.
The next items I tried were the Mary Kay Thinking of You Eau de Parfum & Body Lotion. Wow. These are so gorgeous. Everything from the scent to the packaging is perfect. The perfume comes is an adorable little box, tied with a brown ribbon. This set would be a wonderful gift for any mom!!
For me, I think the perfume was too strong but I am really REALLY picky when it comes to my perfume. If I use a little, it is wonderful but I have to be careful not to cross over that fine line of wearing too much. The lotion was amazing...it left my skin feeling super silky and scented beautifully. I loved smelling it throughout the day. I am not certain of the price of the lotion, but the Thinking of You Eau de Parfum retails for $30.
Last but certainly not least I tried the Satin Hands Peach Pampering Set. Ladies, let me tell you this set is awesome!! It comes with three different products: a Hand Softener, Hand Scrub and Hand Lotion that is said to last up to 24 hours.
Today, I tried this set out for the first time and I cannot believe how soft and supple my hands feel. The first step I did was to use the Hand Scrub. All of these products are peach scented (except for the hand softener which is unscented) and the scrub is SO wonderful. I rubbed it all over my hands and between my fingers and then rinsed it off. After doing that, I applied the softener and the lotion. Wow. The smell was amazing and my skin is still soft even after using the products over an hour ago! For the mom who needs softer hands, this gift set would be perfect for her and it retails for $34. DEFINITELY worth every penny in my opinion.
I am so excited about the Zen in Bloom Collection that is premiering on March 15th...be sure to stay tuned to Mary Kay's website for the big announcement as to when you can order your very own set...it also has a gorgeous clutch that you can get as well...so pretty! So, in my opinion...Mary Kay's newest Zen in Bloom Collection is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G! The products I received from this collection are so pretty and each and every one of them will be used regularly...especially the Lip Lacquer. :) The other products I was sent are awesome as well. Thinking of You is wonderful and Satin Hands is quite an impressive line as well. I would definitely recommend these products to anyone looking to impress and show their mom just how much they really do care this Mother's Day.
