Honey Bunches of Oats Tropical Blends Review & Giveaway {3 Winners}

I am not a morning person. When Hannah was a toddler and before her brother was born, she would sleep until 10 in the morning. As soon as Jacob was born, she was up at 7:30 every day. Now that we have three children, it seems to be earlier than that. Thankfully though, Isaac can sleep up to 8 in the morning which is sooo nice for me. Hannah and Jacob are old enough to play by themselves so I can sleep in a bit more and that is really nice as well. I try to get to bed at a decent time but I am a night owl so I don't like to go to bed early. Anyway, after I wake up I either shower or feed the children their breakfast. Depending on how much they are bugging me for breakfast, I may shower first. Breakfast is definitely a highlight of our day around here. :) Did you know that breakfast is the most important meal of your whole day? I have never had issues eating breakfast but some people do. Let me tell you...if it wasn't for breakfast, I would not survive my morning.
This is another post that is coming to you because I am a Purex Insider and today, I am going to introduce you to Honey Bunches of Oats brand new cereal flavor - Tropical Blends! It's the middle of winter and I think all of us could use a bit of tropics in our day. Honey Bunches of Oats is a long time favorite of mine and it is a product of Post Cereals. Here is a bit more about this cereal!

Vernon J. Herzing was practically a lifelong Post employee — he started as a summer student employee in 1951. Little did he know he was going to change Post forever. In 1986, Vern had the idea to combine a few of Post’s cereals together to make the ultimate tasty breakfast. One Saturday afternoon at home, Vern asked his daughter Kimberly to taste test his creations. The moment he saw her face light up, he knew he was onto something. Over two decades later, Vernon’s special cereal has made over 50,000,000 smiles — yours included!

Because eating sugary cereals was considered a treat in the house I grew up in, eating a cereal like Honey Bunches of Oats was considered very special. I remember one of the first times I tried it...it was AMAZING. To this day, it is still one of my favorite cereals out there!
So, for this review I was sent a box of their newest flavor, Honey Bunches of Oats Tropical Blends - Crispy Mango & Crunchy Coconut. Wow, that's a mouthful...literally! As soon as I opened the shipment box I was greeted by a sweet aroma. I was amazed that I could smell this cereal without even opening the actual box. Fruity and tropical is how I would describe the smell.
I tried this cereal for the first time today and was really looking forward to experiencing the "tropical" taste that I had read so much about. This cereal smells amazing, like I said before. It is chock full of coconut shavings, tiny pieces of mango and coconut-flavored granola clusters.
At first bite, I was thinking to myself, "Wow...this is so different!" I actually wasn't sure if I liked it or not because the flavor was so different. But, after eating my bowl and leaving nothing behind, I decided that I LOVED it. It was very tropical in taste and the coconut flavor was not overpowering.
If you want to know where you can get a box of Honey Bunches of Oats Tropical Blends you can visit the store locator on Honey Bunches of Oats website. Check out Honey Bunches of Oats on Facebook and Twitter as well! They would love to meet you. :)

So, in my opinion...Honey Bunches of Oats Tropical Blends is very yummy. Post has some great flavor combinations that I am loving in this cereal! It is definitely different, but very tasty. I would definitely recommend Tropical Blends to every cereal lover out there!
