Magic Cabin's Sweet Treats Tray Review & Giveaway

Like I have said in my previous posts, I am really excited about Valentine's Day this year. My daughter in particular is to an age where she loves to have fun on holidays and is also excited about the upcoming Valentine's Day (mostly because we are baking cut out cookies...lol!). Adults are not the only ones who appreciate being remembered on this special day...don't forget your children! There are some really cute and inexpensive gift ideas for children that they would love. Today, I am going to give you a fantastic gift idea for a special little girl in your life.
Magic Cabin is a company that makes fun, imaginative and creative toys that will keep children busy for hours. They have such a wonderful and extensive Valentine's Shop that highlights some fantastic gift ideas for children on Valentine's Day! Before I continue this review, here is the company history of Magic Cabin (which was started by a stay at home mom!)...

In 1989 Sara McDonald, a stay-at-home mom, began making natural-fiber Waldorf-style dolls and selling them locally. Inspired by the enchanting cabin in which she was living and working, Sara named her new company Magic Cabin Dolls. As demand for the dolls grew, Sara added doll-making kits and classes to her business roster. Word spread, and she began traveling from coast to coast teaching adults how to make dolls for their own children.

In 1990, after a move from the cabin (in the woods of Minnesota) to a farm on the rolling farmland of Wisconsin, Sara mailed the first Magic Cabin Dolls catalog - a 12-page, black and white catalog that offered 34 doll-related products - to 600 homes. All of the dolls were handmade by Sara, and she and her husband Bill packed and shipped the orders from their farm.

By 1995 the catalog was a thriving business, with employees and doll makers drawn from outside the family. The catalog has continued to grow, and to change, in the ensuing ten years. Toys, games, and crafts have been added to its pages, and its name has accordingly been shortened to Magic Cabin. One thing that has not and will not change is Magic Cabin's dedication to offering "Childhood's Purest Treasures" - unique dolls, toys, and crafts that are heirloom-quality, environmentally friendly, fun to play with, and that, most of all, ignite the imaginations of children.

I love how this company had such humble beginnings...I have often thought of starting a home business but it takes serious dedication and a love for what you do. Sara obviously had that dedication and to see where Magic Cabin is today is evidence of her love and commitment to making children happy.
So, for this review I was sent an ADORABLE Sweet Treats Tray and I picked it out for my daughter. She loves having tea parties and I was excited to see her reaction to this yummy creation.
Inside the box I found a beautifully painted wooden tray that contains wooden treats and dishes for imaginative play. Each piece was carefully wrapped so they would not get damaged and my daughter LOVED unwrapping everything! As you can see, this set contains everything a little girl would need to have a yummy party with her friends. There are candies, lollipops, cupcakes and other fun items.
The detail on these pieces is wonderful! I love how the little spoons are carved out and the cups are so cute and tiny. Each saucer has an indentation for the cup so it doesn't slide off the plate, which is nice. There is also a Velcro pull-apart biscuit that can be assembled and disassembled easily.
We needed a bit of excitement this afternoon so having this Sweet Treats Tray handy was wonderful! My daughter was SO happy to see it and wanted me to sit down and have a party with her immediately. So, we did. :)
As you can see, she is actually trying to eat the treats. Ummm...honey, you will be here all day. :) After I explained that the treats were not edible, we had a great time playing together. I have to say here that Hannah's brother also had a great time partying with his sister. She and him sat together for quite a while today enjoying their treats. This Sweet Treats Tray from Magic Cabin retails for $29.98 and would make an amazing gift for any little sweetheart!
