Teething Pain Relief...Thanks To FeverAll! (Review & Giveaway)

I think that one of the most difficult times in a baby's life is when they start teething. My children have all had issues cutting teeth and it breaks my heart to see them in pain like that. Typically, my babies start the drooling, runny nose and fever stage of teething when they are around 6 months old. We have never cut teeth before then. Isaac is my newest up and coming teether and he is soaking all of his bibs daily. I think I change his drooly bib at least 4 times a day. If I forget to put a bib on him then I am changing his shirt over and over again. Teething is nasty...but it is necessary. If you are looking for a new way to help your little one get through this tough time in their life, I have a product that I want to share with you today that will bring welcome relief for teething pain.
FeverAll is a product that should be found in every mommy's medicine cabinet. Why? Because it allows you to temporarily relieve your child's pain when they are spitting up, vomiting, or are unable to swallow liquid medicine for whatever reason. For me, this is fantastic. I really struggle sometimes to get my son to take medication orally and so this is a perfect solution. Here is a bit more about FeverAll Infants Strength...

FeverAll® Infants’ Strength Suppositories are recommended for infants ages 6 to 36 months to temporarily reduce fever and relieve minor aches, pain and headaches.

With FeverAll® Infants’ Strength Suppositories on hand, caregivers can be ready to relieve their infant’s fever and pain at any time. Easy-to-use suppositories ensure babies receive the recommended 80 mg dose of acetaminophen every time.

I think what I like best is that there is a wide age range for the infant's strength. I have three children, ages 4, 2 and 5 months. So I could use this for my last two children as it is right in their age range.
So, for this review I was sent a box of FeverAll Infant's Strength and a FeverAll branded cool pack. I wasn't sure when I would need to try it as I don't like to medicate if it isn't necessary. Well, this week my two year old has been waking up EVERY NIGHT screaming. He never tells us what is wrong, but he has been chewing on his fingers so I suspect he is cutting his two-year molars.
Well, after several nights of this, I decided to try FeverAll with him. I have never given any of my children suppositories so this was new for me.
What I love is that the infant suppositories themselves are small so they are not uncomfortable. I would say that they are about the circumference of a large lollipop stick. All you do is unwrap the suppository and insert it as far as possible into the rectum. Sounds gross, but it is really quick and easy to do. My son didn't have any problems with it going in. I was honestly worried about it staying in but that wasn't an issue either! I am really thrilled to say that for the first time in several nights, Jacob slept straight through the night! He had no screaming fits and didn't wake up once.
I am loving this FeverAll cool pack too. It has an adjustable and elastic head band that is soft and easy to use. The adjustable band ensures that you will be able to fit it to any one's head. The other thing that I like about this cool pack is that you can use it either hot or cold. Some people prefer heat, others prefer coolness. So, you can have it either way.
This particular cool pack is also great because it is flexible and molds into any position. Not only can you use it on your head, but you can also use it for other parts of your body. My husband has nerve pain in one of his fingers and uses heat packs on it to help alleviate the pain. He really likes to use this cool pack for his hand...except he heats it up instead of using it cool.
You can find FeverAll at major retailers and drugstores across the U.S., such as CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens, and Walmart, and can purchase it for a suggested retail price of approximately $7.00 for a package of six suppositories.

So, in my opinion...FeverAll is a wonderful solution for teething pain! Since the Benzocaine teething gels have been discouraged and oral medications don't always work well, it is nice to have this suppository option. I am definitely happy with the results that I have seen from using FeverAll with my son and will continue to use it as his pain level increases. We HATE teething, but love the relief that we find with FeverAll!
