Check out the Sweetest Registry Deal Ever with Babies 'R' Us PLUS $50 Gift Card Giveaway!

I remember how excited my husband and I were to find out that we were going to be parents for the very first time. Of course, everyone had opinions on what we needed and could use for the baby and I had my own ideas as well. Being that I was the second oldest of six children, I had a bit of experience raising babies but nothing really prepares you for having your own baby. Taking care of other people's children is a breeze but when it is your own, things are a bit different. I like to tell people that I was a perfect parent until I had children of my own. :) I was SO excited when it came time to register for the items I wanted and needed for the baby and the first store I registered at was Babies 'R' Us because lets face it, that is THE go-to store for all baby needs!

Because I am a busy mom of three little ones, I have learned over the years what is a necessary baby item and what is not. Granted, what I think is needful and what others think is needful can vary so just bear with me while I share some of my favorite baby items with you. If you are doing a baby registry and are stumped about what you should register for, maybe these are some ideas that could help you out a bit...
1. BREAST PUMP
I cannot say enough about these. I never realized just how much I would use mine until my baby slept through a feeding once. Then, there are those times when you just get so full you have to pump so you don't get engorged. My breast pump is my best friend while breastfeeding and is always the first thing I recommend for a new mom to purchase/ask for as a gift (oh, and the electric ones are worth EVERY PENNY).
2. WIPES WARMER
Sooo, this is kind of a luxury item and I truly thought it was ridiculous when I first heard of it. A wipes warmer???  What in the world??? So crazy sounding but they are fantastic! I have yet to meet a baby who doesn't cringe and cry when a cold wipe is used on their bottom. You know, it takes their breath away type of reaction? I was given a Wipes Warmer several years ago and it has been a must-have in my nursery ever since. I love using warm wipes on my children...it is sooo comforting for them and I do highly recommend them.
3. SIMPLE BABY BATHTUB
You really don't need a shower attachment, vibrator or faucet attached to your baby tub. Those, to me, are unnecessary items. The amount of time I actually use a baby bathtub makes those things impractical to me...the simpler, the better. My favorite tub is one that you can use throughout early toddler stage and that offers no-slip features. This one pictured above is my absolute favorite and the brand that I have used since my first baby was born.
Those are just some of my favorite items that I recommend to new moms. I also wanted to let you know about an exciting new promotion that Babies 'R' Us has going on right now until November 15th when it comes to their baby registry. The Sweetest Registry Deal Ever is a promotion that will give expectant parents and caregivers some super sweet deals when they set up a baby registry at Babies 'R' Us. Here are the fun details...

  • Due to its unmatched assortment of innovative and exclusive baby products and trusted expert assistance from Registry Consultants or online resources, registering with Babies“R”Us is a smooth, seamless and efficient process.

I can totally vouch for the ease of registering...when I registered for my first baby, the Registry Consultants were so very helpful and were always there when I had questions. I also was so impressed with the selection of items at the store...setting up a registry is so much fun in and of itself, and it is fun to receive the items that you have chosen for your baby. CapriClear Spray-On Moisturizer Review

My babies have always struggled with Baby Eczema. The tell-tale signs are always there...dry, flaky skin - redness and irritation - itching that seems to bother them more than anything else. It is so heart-wrenching to watch your child suffer with any ailment and I have certainly watched my little ones deal with more than their fair share of Eczema. My daughter was my first one to have it and it was pitiful. Bathing her and applying lotion seemed to make it worse and come to find out, water is NOT good for Eczema. Finally, after tubes, tubs and bottles of different lotions, I found something that worked. Cortisone. I HATE USING CORTISONE. It works but is steroid based and I don't like putting that on my baby's sensitive skin. On really bad days though I was forced to use it and although it relieved the itching, the Eczema was still there.
My search for the ultimate Eczema remedy has taken me down many roads. I have learned so much about skin and what happens when babies have problems with their skin. I have also discovered some really amazing products that have helped immensely and have really enjoyed trying them out and watching the results. Today, I have yet another product to tell you about and this moisturizer is totally different from anything I have ever tried. CapriClear Spray-On Moisturizer is a colorless, odorless liquid moisturizer that contains 100% fractionated coconut oil...a known skin healer. To give you a bit more information about this product, developed by a dermatologist (Dr. Betty Bellman), here is some additional info from their website...
CapriClear® natural moisturizer is the world’s first spray-on, hypoallergenic moisturizer to sooth and moisturize dry, flaky skin. It is dermatologist formulated and tested. Reduces itching and irritation for people who are sensitive to ingredients commonly found in other products. CapriClear® does not contain steroids, emulsifiers, fragrances, animal products, artificial dyes, preservatives or other additives such as sulfates, parabens or toxins that can lead to skin irritation.

Spray-on pure, simple, immediate relief that soothes and comforts. The spray permits an even, very thin coating to be applied to your skin. CapriClear® is colorless and odorless, absorbs instantly, so there is no oily feeling and no staining of clothing. For children and adults of all ages. It is safe for all skin types. It does not burn or sting upon application, making CapriClear® a great option for people who suffer from more serious skin conditions such as atopic dermatitis or eczema. CapriClear® is Nature’s Solution to dry, flaky and irritated skin - preferred over other remedies.
Like I said in the beginning of this post, all of my children have suffered from Eczema and right now, my youngest is my worst. He gets Eczema really bad in the crooks of his arms, his wrists, behind his ears and behind his knees. Poor little guy can't sleep sometimes because of it. This was why I was excited to try out CapriClear on him...to see if I could get his Eczema to calm down and heal up a bit better.
So, for this review I was sent a bottle of CapriClear Spray-On Moisturizer. This bottle contains clear liquid that is both colorless and odorless.
Right away, my eyes were drawn to the National Eczema Association logo on the lid of the bottle. To me, this says volumes about the product itself. Because Eczema is such a big problem for us, it was nice to see this. I was even more excited to try this on my little guy!
Another thing that caught my eyes were the words "Gentle, Natural". These are always factors that I take into consideration when choosing a cream for my baby's Eczema. One particular cream that I use on Isaac makes him scream...it is very painful to use but it works well. I hate using products that cause pain which is why I loved seeing these two words. Typically, natural-based products don't irritate but depending on the ingredients, they can sometimes irritate. I was not at all concerned about this spray being painful on my son because it also contains Fractionated Coconut Oil...which has some amazing healing properties.
CapriClear Spray-On Moisturizer is simple to use...simply spray it directly onto the skin and you can rub it in if you like. It does have an oily feel to it but that feeling disappears quickly and the spray itself absorbs nicely. My husband has had a mysterious rash on his legs that is persistently itchy...I thought this spray might help him but it didn't help as much as we had hoped. My son, however, has had this spray applied on his body multiple times and it seems to really soothe and take away the serious irritation that the Eczema causes. I was amazed at how he just let me spray it on and he would run off and play. No crying, no scratching, just happiness and THIS made my mommy heart VERY happy. :)
CapriClear Spray-On Moisturizer retails for $16.99 for a full-sized bottle and $6.99 for a travel-sized bottle. I love the fact that this is so easy and mess-free to use...I also love that it helps my son's Eczema to feel better. He definitely has been a bit happier these days. You can check out CapriClear on Facebook and also on Twitter to keep up with news and events that they are having. If you have some serious skin flaking and issues, check out CapriClear today...you might just find the remedy you have been looking for!

Disclaimer: I received no monetary compensation for this post. I did receive free CapriClear products for review purposes. All quotes and stock photos are from the CapriClear website and email. All thoughts and opinions are 100% mine.

Family Hope Center ~ Understanding Child Brain Development DVD Review

 photo 182266_202676429747109_4948289_n_zpsa1ed36ca.jpg
Have you ever found yourself looking at your child saying, "WHAT were they thinking???" Or, maybe you have seen your child struggle with simple reading activities or games. Since my daughter is still young, she really hasn't begun reading or writing to the fullest extent but I have noticed a few things that are slightly concerning. First of all, she tends to look at a three letter word (very VERY early reading stage) and will read it backwards. This happens very rarely but when it does, I am perplexed. Also, she can swap out letters and add letters that are not there to begin with. She is a smart girl and is really sharp but what is the reason for these small issues? This makes me wonder just what a child's brain development should be and at what pace it should be developing properly.

Today, I am going to introduce you to the Family Hope Center and their DVD, Understanding Child Brain Development. To order the DVD, you can call 610-397-1737 or you can order Understanding Child Brain Development from IEW.  Here is a bit more about their mission...

We Treat Every Child As a Unique Individual In your search to do the very best for your child, how often have you felt that you are no longer in control? Continuously being told that your child will never be able to lead a full-life and that you will just have to do the best you can? Now you can do what’s best for your child. At the Family Hope Center (FHC), we firmly believe that you should be in the ‘driver’s seat’, knowing what to do and how to do it. We also believe that every child is different and deserves individual treatment, which means with our unique diagnostic chart, we design a Program specifically created to develop your child to be the very best they can be.

While Family Hope Center's program focuses on children with disabilities, it is also VERY helpful and appropriate for any family dealing with a wide spectrum of issues. Children can struggle with various aspects of development and those struggles make themselves evident in behavior...sometimes unruly and odd behavior. I love the fact that Family Hope Center focuses on helping parents better understand and "shepherd" their children and they call it their ministry. Their center is an actual treatment center in which they treat and guide families from over 17 countries and they work with children who are comatose, blind, deaf amongst other shortcomings and disabilities.
Matthew and Carol Newell have been married for 20+ years have worked with children with disabilities. They founded Family Hope Center to give people HOPE when it comes to helping their children and they seem like wonderful people!
So, for this review I was sent the Understanding Child Brain Development DVD. As soon as the DVD began, I loved listening to Matt speak about his and his wife's capabilities and skills...they are fully equipped to educate anyone about neurological development. Matt is an exceptional speaker that draws you in and interacts with you...I was able to relate to him within the first 10 minutes.

Some questions that were presented and answered in this DVD were:

  • Why do children struggle even though we have such an information-packed society?
  • Are all children brain injured?
  • Is my child a collection of disabilities and/or syndromes?
  • Does my child have a disease?

Another thing I learned is that I am NOT the problem...I am the solution. My child is not having problems because of me, they were injured at some point in their life and I am here to help them through this period of their life. I can help to restore their brain. One thing that Matt says in this DVD is that we need to focus on what our child CAN do as opposed to what they CAN'T do and stop seeing things as disabilities. Wow. That really struck me. If I can see past my child's issues and see their strengths, how empowering that is for me as a parent.
One thing we need to understand is what wellness is. I learned that the brain alone in a baby is 30% of his weight! So, a baby is ready to learn immediately after birth. That is amazing! Understanding wellness is very important to understanding the development process. Matt takes you through how the brain develops, starting at birth and he very clearly explains how the brain functions at each stage. I found this to be very interesting as I am always enthralled at how babies are so smart at birth. (Mine were, anyway...or was it just because I was a bit partial?? Hmmm....  :)  ) He explains why doctors check babies eyes...they are looking for blindness based on how their eyes respond to the light - reflexes. Another thing relating to neurological development is HOW the baby is born. Another issue Hannah had...when she was born, she was born via Cesarean Section. Her body didn't go through the important process of birth and from what I learned during watching this DVD was that her brain didn't connect with me through the lifting of the baby to my chest and immediate nursing process that most babies experience after birth.
Oh, and did you know that we are the only mammals that put babies on their backs??? Hmmmm. Not good in terms of neurological development. As I was watching this particular section of the DVD, it hit me. Hannah NEVER crawled on all fours. She did an (what I called) "elephant walk", where she put her palms on the floor and put herself in an "A" position and did that instead of crawling. This was very bad for her and is now causing her problems. Jacob is not yet in school but he has issues with responding immediately to me and sometimes gets very involved in his activities and ignores me completely. Thinking back, he never crawled either. Oh boy. He sat on his backside and scooted around the house. His brain development is not where it should be either. So I learned that crawling is ESSENTIAL to proper brain development. Very, very interesting.
Another thing that Matt talks about is the fact that babies are constantly moving in utero but when they are born, we take them off that pathway by putting them on their backs. When they are on their bellies, this can help their digestion, help them pass gas more effectively which, in turn, will equal a baby who does not suffer from colic.  Hannah was also the poster baby for colic. She screamed C.O.N.S.T.A.N.T.L.Y. Babies connecting with their mothers is also imperative to their development.
I was thankful to have the opportunity to review this DVD because it showed me exactly why my daughter and son are the way they are. There is SO much information in this DVD, I couldn't possibly tell you all about it in this single review without going over 15,000 words. :) I would strongly encourage you to check out Family Hope Center and get this DVD. It was encouraging, educating, and presented very well. I would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone, even if you don't have children who are disabled or challenged.

Again, to order the DVD, you can call 610-397-1737 or you can order Understanding Child Brain Development from IEW for $19. Every child has issues in some way shape or form. Learning about the brain and how it works is essential to raising and helping our children develop properly. The brain can be strengthened and restored...how encouraging and what wonderful hope it gives me as a mom. THANK YOU Matt and Carol for your ministry. :)

BabyGanics Fine & Handy Hand and Face Wipes Review

There are some days when I just cannot believe how messy my children can get. My two and a half year old seems to be the worst when it comes to food-related messes. My husband was cleaning him off the other day after supper and asked him "How old are you again??? I don't ever remember your sister getting this messy at ANY age!" I then reminded him of the time Hannah "wore" her purple smoothie...all over herself. He honestly would not remember this because he was at work at the time but I well remember that day!!
When it comes to babies and children there are just some times when you will be cleaning them up after something. Food, art projects, outdoor fun and more. There is just no end to hand and face wiping! The other day I found out about a company that makes baby-safe, non-toxic household cleaning and skin care products!
Founded by two dads, BabyGanics focuses on keeping you and your family clean while keeping the products you use to clean -- safe! Here is a bit more about this company and their "founding fathers", Kevin Schwartz and Keith Garber...

We're Kevin and Keith, founding fathers of BabyGanics. As family guys, (wife, kids, & pets!) we really do get how hard it is for parents to make the daily, balanced choices that go into creating a safe healthy and happy environment for their babies.

We dedicate our days to helping you do just that. Our products are designed for babies but, honestly, they're just as much for parents; whether they protect, moisturize, nourish or clean, their most important ingredient is always peace of mind.

BabyGanics is just the type of company I love...natural, useful and fantastic quality! I also love that they carry products for both baby and for me!
So, for this review I was sent a package of the BabyGanics Fine & Handy Hand and Face Wipes. If I can use any product from BabyGanics, it would be these! Like I said at the beginning of this review, face and hand messes are never ending around my house. Having 3 children 4 years old and younger gives me plenty of opportunities to use wipes.
So, why use these wipes as opposed to other name-brand wipes? Here are several reasons...

Pediatrician and dermatologist tested
Fragrance-free formula
Specially formulated with natural plant-based ingredients
Non-toxic and Gluten free
biodegradable

I had the perfect opportunity to use these wipes after my 10 month old had finished eating the other day. The first thing I loved about these wipes is that they are super soft. I hate using rough wipes on my baby's skin...his skin is sensitive enough without having to use an abrasive cloth on it. The other thing that I loved was that the wipe didn't fall apart when I needed to "scrub" a bit harder than usual. He didn't complain at all when I used these on his hands and face and they did a wonderful job.
After use, his face and hands were clean and the stickiness was gone as well. He was fresh and ready to go play (but wanted to hang on my skirt for some reason...LOL!). As you can see in the photo above, the wipes cleaned him up nicely!
These Fine & Handy Hand and Face Wipes from BabyGanics are in a small enough package that you can take them wherever you go! In the car, diaper bag, to the park or your purse, they will fit anywhere! I know that when I go to church I take food for Isaac and end up feeding him in the nursery so these would be great for my diaper bag.

BabyGanics’ Fine & Handy Hand and Face Wipes retail for $4.99 and can be purchased at Babies R Us, Buy Buy Baby, Amazon.com, Diapers.com and Vine.com. Definitely a great idea for moms on the go or just for at home use. Also, be sure to check out BabyGanics on Facebook, follow them on Twitter and give them a look on Pinterest...they always have something fun going on so be sure to become a fan today so you don't miss anything!
So, in my opinion...BabyGanics Fine & Handy Hand and Face Wipes are wonderful! I love how great they were to use and the fact that they are easily transported for on the go use. I truly need these for my diaper bag and love having something natural and healthy for my baby. I would definitely recommend BabyGanics to anyone out there who is looking to go the more natural route when it comes to natural baby care and household cleaning...they truly have a wonderful selection and will more than impress you with their quality and customer service. Check them out today!

Baby Eczema Relief with Bamboo Bubby!

We here in our house have the worst problems with eczema...particularly baby eczema. I had my first experience with baby eczema when my first child was born and she had it really bad. When I showed a friend of mine, we were unsure if it was really eczema or ring worm but after a visit to the pediatrician, we confirmed that it was indeed eczema. There is nothing worse than watching your baby scratch and scratch with no relief in sight. I tried just about every cream and body wash out there but Hannah's skin was really tough to treat. She is just now starting to grow out of the eczema but now I have Isaac. He is presenting with very different eczema symptoms than Hannah...cracked and raw skin behind his ears, and horrible eczema on his neck, shoulders and wrists. It is AWFUL. One morning, he woke up and had crusty blood on his hands and under his fingernails. After examining him, I realized that the blood came from behind his ears. He had totally dug up the skin from scratching throughout the night. The itching seems to really bother him more so than it ever bothered Hannah. As a mom, that REALLY bothers me.
So in my desperation, I began to search the Internet for a solution. I knew that I would need to cover his hands in order to prevent him from scratching but how in the world do you cover a 9 month old baby's hands? My question was answered when I happened across the Bamboo Bubby website. This company is based in Southern Australia and they make a product called the Bamboo Bubby Bag and it is specifically designed for babies and toddlers with eczema. One of the secrets to the success of this bag is the fact that the material is made out of bamboo fabric. Until becoming acquainted with Bamboo Bubby, I had no idea that fabric made out of bamboo is hypoallergenic and antibacterial...makes total sense to have a product for sensitive skin made out of bamboo fabric!!

Here is a bit more about Bamboo Bubby and the owner of this company, Kelly Northey...
"Our baby's eczema was at its worse at the age where he outgrew sleepsuits with handcovers. He also started learning to roll at the same time, and could no longer be safely wrapped or swaddled. We were desperate for a solution to stop the damage and sleeplessness he was causing himself from constant scratching. A sleeping bag made of eczema-friendly fabric with adjustable handcovers that could grow with him was the ideal solution! " ~ Kelly Northey

After testing many different types of fabrics and prototypes, the Bamboo Bubby Bag™ has become a practical and popular choice amongst parents worldwide, minimising damage caused by scratching from eczema, dermatitis and even chicken pox as well as stop thumb sucking and even helping babies who would wake from cold hands.

I was ecstatic to find this company. My Isaac was suffering terribly with the scratching and I was sincerely wanting to find a way to keep him from damaging his skin any further. Hannah never had issues bleeding with her eczema so this was new territory for me. Kelly was so sweet when I first emailed her...and has been such a blessing throughout this review. I am very pleased to introduce this company to you.
So, for this review I was sent a Bamboo Bubby Bag to try on Isaac. Ok, so this sleeping bag is H.U.G.E! It pretty much spans the whole 4 feet of the width of my dining room table. :) The reason for this is because you can use this bag on babies ages 0-2+ years. So if you are using this on an infant, it will be long but is totally adjustable in several ways, which I will show you.
The pictures above show the inside of the sleeves, right by the armpit area. There is a nice snap that basically adjusts the armhole size. If you have a small baby (like I do), then keep the button snapped and this will ensure that their arm will not be floating around in a huge hole. The picture on the right shows the snap undone.
I also love that the sleeves are adjustable. There is absolutely no way for babies hands to get out of these sleeves! All you do to adjust them is tuck the extra fabric inside and pull the cuff over. You want to be sure to smooth the fabric down on the inside of the sleeve so baby isn't dealing with alot of material bunching up in there.
Another feature that I am enjoying is the fact that there is a nice protector that covers the zipper and this cover actually wraps around the neck line so baby won't get scratched by any part of the zipper. I have also noticed the the neckline goes up on Isaac's neck so he really can't get to the skin on his neck. This is really REALLY nice. I will also note that the Bamboo Bubby Bag has a seat belt slot in it so your baby can wear it while in the stroller or car seat...which is also fantastic!!
To give you an idea of what I am dealing with, there is a picture of his ears. This is on a GOOD day. This area has never healed completely. Ever since he was a newborn, we have had issues with his ears and the eczema just splits the skin open. Obviously, scratching doesn't help.
Getting Isaac used to the Bamboo Bubby Bag was quite an interesting experience. I was scared at first to try it because he is a very "hands on" baby. He has a pacifier and can put it in his mouth by himself. He also has a cuddly blanket that he snuggles up to his face when he sleeps and I was worried the hand covers would hinder his self-soothing abilities. Kelly gently assured me that babies that use the Bamboo Bubby Bag do quite well at learning to use their hands even though they are covered. I was so happy to hear this!
So, I put the Bamboo Bubby on Isaac and we were ready to try it out! Ha ha...he had issues at first. :) Look at that face!! Because the garment is long, he stepped all over it when he first tried to stand up with it on.
Then, he finally figured it out. He was quite pleased with himself too, as you can see! :) He has been sleeping with the Bamboo Bubby Bag for a few nights now and I am very happy to report that he has not had any issues with bleeding. His eczema is also looking less red and inflamed, which is a sign that he has not been scratching. I was so nervous about his pacifier too, and he has managed quite well when it comes to maneuvering it back into his mouth. Our first few nights getting used to the Bamboo Bubby Bag were a bit rough but after that, he was sleeping like a champ again! I was so relieved when I saw him trying to scratch at his ears the other night while nursing because I knew he wasn't actually tearing up his skin. What a blessing!
The Bamboo Bubby Bag retails for $69.95 and is also available in a twin pack which retails for $130.00. You also have your choice of three colors: Turquoise Blue, Fuscia Pink and Sage Green. Also, Kelly has let me know that she now has two companies stocking Bamboo Bubby in the US! Click HERE to find out where you can order Bamboo Bubby in the US. The price for purchasing in the US is slightly more($79.95), however, Kelly will soon be raising the price in Australia to match the US price. If you are interested in keeping up with Bamboo Bubby on their social media sites, be sure to check them out on Facebook, Twitter and also Pinterest!
So, in my opinion...Bamboo Bubby is a fantastic company that makes a one-of-a-kind product...one which I have been searching for since Hannah was a baby! I am so thankful that I have discovered them and hope that this product will help many more parents out there that are just like me! Children deserve to be comfortable - day and night and Bamboo Bubby is the product that will be sure to keep them comfy and happy. I love how this has given me an all natural treatment for eczema! I would definitely recommend this product to ANYONE!

Mommy's Bliss Sweet Slumber Baby Products Review

One of my favorite times of the day is bedtime with my children. From the time my children are infants, I try to establish a gentle and relaxing bedtime routine. As they grow older, they actually know when it is time to go to bed because I have worked with them from infant-hood on a bedtime routine. My youngest is pushing 10 months old and he too knows when it is time for bed. I don't typically bathe him every night because he has sensitive skin and baths can be drying; but now that he is eating solids, he can become quite grungy during the day and therefore - some days he truly needs a bath by bedtime. I have found that with him, baths can be quite relaxing and they help him if he isn't feeling well. Baths just make him a happy little guy and I like seeing him happy. :)
When Isaac was 5 months old, I reviewed Mommy's Bliss Gripe Water and it worked great for him. Now that he is beyond the point of needing that I am so thrilled to see that Mommy's Bliss has a product line that is perfect for bedtime! Mommy's Bliss Sweet Slumber product line is designed to provide your baby with a relaxing bedtime routine, as well as giving them a deep and peaceful sleep experience each night. Before I continue on, here is a bit more about this fantastic line that is sure to give your baby a wonderful night!

Mommy’s Bliss, makers of the number one selling natural colic remedy in the United States, has just released the Sweet Slumber line of bedtime routine products for infants. The new lineup includes a 3-in-1 Baby Wash, a nightly Massage Cream and a calming bedroom Mist. All three of these new releases contain essential oils that are historically associated with relaxation and sleep such as English Lavender Oil, German Chamomile Extract and Ylang Ylang Flower Oil, among other natural, soothing botanical ingredients. The Sweet Slumber line is 100% vegetarian and vegan and their packaging is 100% recycled with post-consumer resin. Gentle enough for daily use, these products are all hypoallergenic and contain no artificial fragrances, gluten, soy, alcohol, sulfates phthalates or parabens. The Sweet Slumber line will have your little one dreaming peacefully in no time!

Isaac typically does not have issues going to sleep at night; however, he does struggle some nights especially if he is having teething issues or is over tired. I don't have anything special that I do during these times, I just cuddle him as much as I can and then snuggle him in for the night. I was so excited with the opportunity to review this brand new line from Mommy's Bliss...it could quite possibly be the answer to my difficult nights with Isaac!
So, for this review I was sent the full Sweet Slumber product line from Mommy's Bliss. First and foremost, I LOVE the blue bottles. They look so pretty and relaxing and would make a perfect addition to a baby shower gift basket. In this line there is Sweet Slumber Massage Cream, Sweet Slumber 3-in-1 Baby Wash and Sweet Slumber Mist.
Tonight, Isaac was fussing quite a bit before bedtime so I decided to give him a bath using these products. As you can see above, he LOVES bath time and becomes instantly happy when taken in for his bath. I just love those toothy smiles. :)
I love the fragrance of these products. Lavender has long been known for it's relaxing properties and when I added the Sweet Slumber 3-in-1 Baby Wash to his tub, it smelled amazing. Not only is it a baby wash, it is also bubble bath and shampoo. So, he just LOVED to splash in the bubbles. While he was playing, I massaged it into his hair and also washed his body while I was at it. He had a blast. The aroma was wonderful and he was definitely a happy baby.
After his bath, I massaged the Sweet Slumber Massage Cream all over his body. Because he has eczema, I am very careful about what I use on him. This cream is perfect for sensitive skin. He wasn't itching much at all after using this cream and it smelled really nice. Once he was snuggled in his pajamas, he was seriously falling asleep in my arms. By the time I sat down to give him his final feeding for the evening, he was drowsing off.
I have never used anything like the Sweet Slumber Mist before. This is really a neat product. You can spray it on baby's bed linens, blankets and pajamas. I sprayed it around the room prior to putting Isaac to bed and it (again) smelled wonderful. I can really see how it would help a baby sleep. As I am typing this out, Isaac has been sleeping now for over an hour and is sleeping SOUNDLY. There hasn't been a peep out of him. I can tell you that these products are wonderful when it comes to relaxing my baby. The scent, the massage and the spray are all working nicely to give him a good night's rest.
