Holiday Gift Guide ~ Stompeez Slippers Review & Giveaway

I remember when Hannah was a baby and I was a first-time parent. It was so much fun to dress her up and get her all of the mile-stone "clothing". You know, graduating from onesies to outfits and from socks and booties to shoes and slippers. Her first pair of slippers were so darling...little froggies that had rattles in them. A good friend gave them to her and I put them on her all the time. Now, it has become a tradition that whenever the weather gets cooler, we head to the store and buy each of them a cozy pair of fun slippers to keep their tootsies warm. My house doesn't get that cold, but it still is nice to have something on their feet. Well, if you are looking for a super cute gift for a child this Christmas, make sure you check out this next product! I don't know a child who would not want THESE slippers! :)
Stompeez is a company that makes cute slippers for children. These are not just any ordinary slippers either...their ears flop up and down when you walk! When I first saw them, I immediately thought HOW CUTE!!! Here is a small bit of information about Stompeez, from a recent press release...

Stompeez™ animated slippers skyrocketed in popularity last year during the holidays, thanks to the soft, playful characters kids wear on their feet for stomping fun. And while popularity is a good thing, it also overwhelmed the brand, which at that time was new. Now under new management, Stompeez has stepped up its production and distribution efforts to ensure it will be able to meet this year’s holiday demand with ease. The company works hard to create, promote and sell products that children and parents will love.

Stompeez™ stuffs fun and imagination into ordinary slippers for kids. These cute, soft, comfy slippers are a hit at slumber parties, as well as for just romping around the house. Stompeez are available in eight colorful animal characters that pop to life with each step. They come in sizes to fit kids of all ages, from toddlers to teens. With the holidays approaching, Stompeez are affordable and unique gifts at $19.95 plus shipping and handling. Stompeez slippers are ready to ship with a guaranteed delivery date, including in time for the holidays.

Prior to this post, I had never heard of Stompeez and as soon as I saw them, I knew they would be a hit with my children!
So, for this review I was sent the Growlin' Dragon slippers. I had my 2 year old son in mind for these and because his sister typically gets the fun things from reviews, I knew it would be fun for him to have something for himself. So, aren't they cute??? How can you resist those big eyes and toothy grin!
My son was tickled when he saw these dragons. He had just woke from his nap and was a bit crabby...until I pulled these slippers out of the box. His eyes lit up and he had to try them on right away. They fit him perfectly and he strutted around for the rest of the day wearing his dragons...he LOVED them! :)
He currently is not heavy enough to make the mouths open and close on the dragons but he didn't care. Of course, his sister had to try them on too so I let her run around in them. She had a blast!
The way these slippers work is when you step on the heel, it compresses a little bulb in the heel that is full of air. When the bulb is compressed, it sends the air to the front of the slipper, causing the head/ears to flop up. What a great idea...no batteries!!
Each pair of Stompeez retails for $19.95 and they carry sizes from children's all the way up to teen sizes! So, even the older ones can enjoy a fun pair of slippers too. You can check out Stompeez on Facebook, and also on Twitter too! They would love to meet you so stop on by and say hello. :)

So, in my opinion...Stompeez slippers are darling! I love how cute they look and how fun they are for my children to wear. These would make an amazing gift for any child this Christmas...watch their eyes light up when the eyes pop up! :)

Stompeez has offered to giveaway a pair of Stompeez Slippers to one of you!! Here are your entry options...

Enjoy Back-to-School Savings With Kidorable!

I cannot believe that we are in the middle of August already. It won't be long and the school buses will be out, children will be sporting their new backpacks and pencil boxes, stores will be pushing their back-to-school sales and school classrooms will once again be filled with little minds ready to learn again. I remember when I was a child and it was time to get ready for school to start. The best part was picking out my new pencil box, thumbing through my new books and getting new crayons. We always looked forward to school starting up and enjoyed the preparation before hand.
If you are a parent who has a child that walks to the bus stop or walks to school, then I want to tell you about a promotion that Kidorable has going on right now for their kids boots! From now until August 31st, you can get 20% off any Kidorable boot purchase by using the code SCHOO888. Kidorable's boot section consists of  butterfly, pirate, dinosaur and many other designs and these boots are SO cute! Your child will be the talk of the school when they walk in sporting a pair of Kidorable boots PLUS their feet will be dry!
For this review I was sent a pair of Fireman Rain Boots for my son. I usually get review products for Hannah so I thought that this time it would be fun for Jacob to get something fun. Not to mention he is always wearing his sister's shoes...time for a pair that he can call his own and that are all boy!
These Fireman Rain Boots are so cute, I just love the character in them. There are orange flames shooting up from the bottoms and also from the top. One thing though, make sure your child doesn't pull the flames sticking out of the top of the boots. One of them ripped right off the first time Jacob pulled on them. I guess they are not meant to be pulled on although they look like they are.
The wheels that are painted on the sides of the boots are so cute too, they look just like real firetruck wheels! I just love the detail.
As soon as Jacob got up from his nap I showed him his new boots. He wanted to wear them immediately and I was so excited to see him in them. They fit him perfectly (his feet are HUGE...size 9) and he LOVED them. Just look at his face...my little man is tickled with his fireman boots!
After wearing them for a few minutes I DARED to suggest that we take them off and put them away. Noooo, that was NOT an option. He wore those boots for the rest of the day. Anytime we go out for a walk he has to have his Fireman Rain Boots on. The other night he was in the backyard and was wearing his boots in the sandbox. Yep, you guessed it. Those boots were FULL of sand when he came in afterwards. Wow. You just never know how much a boy will love his boots until he wears them in the sandbox! These Fireman Rain Boots retail for $29.00 and are available in sizes 5 and up.
If you want to check out the other rain boot selections from Kidorable, splash on over to their website and while you are there, look at all the coordinating items you can get to match their boots! With school right around the corner, you don't want your child to have wet feet...Kidorable will get them outfitted right and they will be the cutest kid in school!

Pamper Your Feet With Dr. Scholl's Massaging Gel Insoles!

All throughout my most recent pregnancy, I dealt with really awful back and hip pain. While I was pregnant, I attributed the pain to the extra weight and also to my joints loosening up and preparing for birth. I am also a bare-footed gal who HATES socks and shoes. When I am home, I am usually barefoot and when I go out, I typically wear flip flops or sandals. I think I just feel too restricted in socks. Anyway, my hip pain did not go away after Isaac was born. When I would walk him around the house late at night, my hip would be screaming at me...almost to the point where I didn't think I could walk anymore. Our family loves to go for long summer evening walks as well and I was beginning to think that those would have to end due to my pain. Well, recently I have discovered a new product from Dr. Scholl's that has really enabled me to walk with less pain, and I am going to share it with you all today!
I am sure many of you have heard of Dr. Scholl's. They are a very well-known and reputable company that specializes in providing products to help us care for and maintain our feet. If any part of our body needs extra attention and care, it would be our feet! Here is a bit more about Dr. Scholl's and the man behind the name...

William Mathias Scholl was born in 1882 in Indiana — the grandson of a cobbler and farmer. His expertise in foot care started as a boy when he borrowed his grandfather's tools to repair shoes to earn extra money. He went on to earn a medical degree in 1904, and started his own company, Dr. Scholl Inc.

Dr. William Scholl’s expertise in shoes combined with his medical background allowed him to develop many of the innovative solutions available today. During his lifetime, he helped bring more than 1,000 foot care products to people all around the world.

Today, we the makers of Dr. Scholl’s products continue to advance the science of foot care with the same enthusiasm that young William Scholl did all those years ago.

Whenever I am in the foot care aisle of the grocery store, I am automatically drawn to Dr. Scholl's products. I KNOW that they are a good name and that their products are high-quality. When I have issues with my feet whether it be medical or cosmetic, Dr. Scholl's is one of my top brands that I utilize for solving my problems.
So, for this review I was sent a set of Dr. Scholl's Massaging Gel Insoles. I was really excited about these because of my back and hip pain and was curious to see if they would relieve my pain at all.

The first thing I did was read the package. I loved how easy the directions were to understand. I would have just put the insoles in my shoes without doing anything to my shoes first...which would not have worked out. These insoles can be cut to fit your shoe size, which is fantastic.
I then had to remove my old insoles from my sneakers. I didn't know they were removable and would not have removed them if I hadn't read that I needed to do it! All that was left to do was to insert the gel insole. These went in super quick and easy as well.
The gel part of the insole goes on the underside...so you won't see all the gel lines when they are properly inserted.

When my Dr. Scholl's Massaging Gel Insoles were in my shoes, our family went for a long walk. I could immediately tell the difference in the shock absorption. It literally felt like I was walking on pillows. Not long into our walk, I noticed my hip pain begin to subside and by the time we had finished our walk, I had NO PAIN at all. WOW.

I think it would be safe to say that I am a believer in these insoles now!! They are FANTASTIC and I would really recommend them to anyone...whether you have back issues or not. Dr. Scholl's Massaging Gel Insoles can be found at CVS and also at Drugstore.com for about $15.00.

For more information on these and other Dr. Scholl's products, be sure to visit them on Facebook as well as on their website.
