My son has been a VERY good baby for me. You know how they say that you become a more comfortable parent the more children that you have? Well, I think that is the case here. I have learned so much from the first two and now that number 3 is here, I am feeling like I finally know what I am doing. One thing that I have discovered recently is swaddling and the benefits that it has on babies. I have always known about swaddling but could not master it for the life of me and my babies could always wiggle out. Well, my doula who helped me with Isaac's birth, was talking to me about "The Happiest Baby On The Block" and the secrets that it held for calming newborns and infants. Babies love to be tightly bundled as it makes them feel secure and safe, just like it was when they were in their mommy's tummy. I was having to sleep in a recliner with Isaac because he loved to be held tightly and I could not mimic that feeling any other way-or so I thought. Then, my doula told me how to properly swaddle and voila! My son was sleeping on his own...for 4 hour stretches!!

For this review, I was sent an Angry Birds Baby Bodysuit and a Marquisette Swaddling Blanket, also in the Angry Birds design.

Being that I am so new to swaddling, one of my greatest complaints is that most blankets are way too small to properly swaddle. It seems that I run out of blanket before the swaddle is completely done...which is frustrating. This is why I LOVE the  Marquisette Swaddling Blanket from SwaddleDesigns. This blanket is H*U*G*E. There is more than enough to go around Isaac and he is snug as a bug in a rug. The fabric is also really light, soft and a bit stretchy. When swaddling, I tend to prefer a stretchier blanket so this blanket is perfect.

The Angry Birds Bodysuit that I was sent is too big for Isaac right now, but it is cute! I love the blue trim on it...especially because I have a baby boy. On SwaddleDesigns website, you can choose other colors and designs as well so that is nice.

All of the Angry Birds Baby products are well made and would make wonderful gifts...especially for a baby shower! You can mix and match the other designs as well or you can pick out a gift set that includes multiple products.

One of the other things that I love about SwaddleDesigns blankets is that they have a sewn-on tag that has pictures and instructions on how to swaddle your baby properly and effectively. This is great...especially for those late-night swaddling sessions when you are groggy and your brain is not functioning clearly.

I think that they are a fantastic resource for parents...both for educating on how to swaddle and also for purchasing the perfect swaddling blanket. I cannot believe that my new baby is already a week and a half old! I also cannot believe that I can see my feet again...wow. :) Anyway, I have been enjoying my "babymoon" and getting to know my little guy has been so much fun. So, for this review I was sent a Sure Comfort Deluxe Infant to Toddler Tub. At the time of getting this tub, my son had not yet been born and I knew that this would be a great addition to my gift guide event!

This tub has many great features and the first one that I love is the fact that it comes with a mesh newborn sling, which is machine washable and dryable. Now, I will say that I think my babies prefer to be submerged in warm water instead of hanging over it getting chilly. So, I would adjust this sling so it sits in the water. This allows the baby to be comfortable and secure while you bathe them.

The second thing that I love about this tub is that, just like the name suggests, you can use it for all of your child's stages. The first is newborn. Then, you can recline baby in the tub and eventually sit them up with their back against the straight side. There are non-slip pads on the bottom of the tub to prevent baby from sliding away and that is really nice too.

If you like to prop your tub in the double kitchen sink, this tub also has grooves for you to set it on the divider in the sink so it doesn't move. It will securely nestle in your sink without moving. I love this idea as I normally put my baby tub into the big bathtub and bathe baby there. This would really save my back too. Also, I don't want to forget to mention that this particular tub has a small area for keeping your baby bath accessories. Having things within arm's reach is a MUST when bathing a baby!!

As a mama, I can tell you that the only thing that is worse then a baby with a cold is a baby who is cutting teeth. My two children were ALWAYS fussy when they were teething and I can't even begin to tell you all the long nights I have had rocking and soothing them. Recently, my 22 month old has not been sleeping well at all. He wakes up screaming and crying and won't go back to sleep unless I go and rock him. Just the other night he was up about 4 different times and when he wakes up, he usually is good at waking up his sister too. This makes for a very long night for me. I checked his mouth yesterday and sure enough, he is cutting four teeth. Fun. So, last night as a precaution, I gave him a small dose of Ibuprofen and he slept all night...for the first time in a long time. What a blessed experience that was for ME! I haven't slept that well in quite some time.

Well, as you are all probably aware, I am expecting our third baby and am due to have this little one in just 2 short weeks. I will once again be going through the "cutting teeth stage" at some point in the coming year and this time, I am going to be prepared! Tommee Tippee is a company that I have worked with in the past and I am thrilled to be able to share them with you all again during this event! They have more then just oral care products for infants, they also have some fabulous cleaning supplies (which I did not know). So, today I will introduce you to these products and tell you a bit more about this company.

So, for this review I was sent several Tommee Tippee items to share with you all today and they are all fantastic! I was sent:

I will start off by telling you a little bit about the Chewthers. I honestly didn't know what a Chewther was until I looked them up and I am VERY excited about these. Based on your baby's age, each Chewther is designed to prepare them for eating various types of foods. 

They start at Stage 1 (3 months of age), which is meant to help prepare your baby for thicker liquids and go right through to Stage 4 (9 months), which helps prepare infants for chunky foods. Chewthers also allow baby to teethe to their heart's content without hindering their speech development. If there is one thing I hate about pacifiers, this is it. If not taken away by a certain age, I think it can hinder the child from speaking clearly. The jaw and muscle coordination of babies is also well supported when using a Chewther as well, which is really important. So, I am now fully prepared for another teething baby! 

Now, I will introduce you to Tommee Tippee's fantastic line of cleaning products! All of their cleaning products are free from alcohol, chlorine, fragrances and dyes, making them well qualified to be safe and effective for use around babies. 

First, I tried the Antibacterial Hand Gel. This is like a hand sanitizer that you can stuff in your diaper bag, or keep close to you while strolling at the park, zoo or just sitting around at home. It is not sticky at all and leaves no yucky residue. If you are preparing to feed baby, just squirt a small amount on your hand, rub it in and you are all set! 

The next cleaning product I tried was the Baby Gear & Feeding Surface Cleaner. This is really a perfect cleaner for me as my little guy is still in a high chair (my preference, not his...for sanity's sake!!!). His high chair can get really grimy from those sticky little hands and I like to be able to clean it easily and quickly. Well, this spray cleaner is just the thing that I need. All you need to do is spray the surface that you want to clean and then just wipe down. You don't have to worry about rinsing it off either, it is perfectly safe. This can also be used for any surface that baby comes in contact with, not just high chairs and feeding surfaces. 

Last but not least, I gave the Bottle & Feeding Utensil Wash a try. Because I am not in a bottle stage right now, I used this to wash some baby dishes that I have. The children like to play with some of the plastic bowls that I have so this was a great opportunity to try out this product. It gets nice and sudsy and is gentle on  my hands as well. I have really dry hands so having something that isn't harsh is great! I was really happy with how this soap worked for me. It didn't take much at all to wash and clean my dishes. Fantastic!

So, in my opinion...Tommee Tippee has once again impressed me! I am totally in love with the Chewthers and really wish I had them for when my children were going through that hard stage in their lives. I also love the cleaning products and am really excited to be able to have them on hand for our up-coming baby. I would definitely recommend these products to any busy mom out there who is looking for solutions on how to better care for her children!

As you have probably noticed, I am a breastfeeding mom. My children both nursed until they were 12 months and from that point on, they weaned themselves. I suppose I could have pushed the issue with them and gone further, but it really didn't seem practical at that point. They weren't nursing for nutrition's sake, but purely for comfort. My daughter liked to "flash" people every now and then but the more experienced I became at breastfeeding, the easier it is was to distract people from seeing anything. In order to have a successful public nursing experience, I believe that a functional nursing cover is a MUST.

I actually first heard of Hooter Hiders as a friend of mine was using one of their covers when we were out one day. It looked so comfortable and I really envied her...I wanted one too! That was several years ago now and I cannot remember where I ended up getting my very first nursing cover. 

So, for this review I was sent a Bebe au Lait Nursing Cover in the print of my choice and I chose the Kensington print. I love turquoise, green and blue so this seemed like the most elegant and appropriate choice for me. 

This nursing cover is not bulky or heavy at all and folds up very compactly for discreet carrying. When I first saw it, I was REALLY happy because it has a rigid, yet flexible neckline that allows me to keep an eye on the baby while nursing. This has been something that I have not always had the luxury of having. 

The size of this nursing cover is great as well. It spans across the whole backside of my recliner and is nice and long too. If you have a baby that likes to play "peek-a-boo" then this large cover will make that a bit more challenging for them. ;)

One of my favorite features of the cover is the fact that it has two terry cloth pockets sewn into each corner of the inside of the cover. This makes it easy to store baby's pacifier or a nursing pad while breastfeeding. I love the idea of having storage built right into the cover! Awesome!

When I tried on this nursing cover I loved how light and airy it felt. You cannot see through it and it really covers well. The colors are gorgeous and while it looks like a nursing cover, you definitely feel stylish while wearing it! The ties around the neck are adjustable as well so you can wear it higher or lower, depending on how tall you are. 

Each nursing cover from the Bebe au Lait retails from $35 - $38 dollars depending on the print you want. It is VERY hard to pick one out by the way as there are soo many from which to choose!

So, in my opinion...Bebe au Lait makes one awesome nursing cover! As a mom who advocates public breastfeeding, I am totally sold on their covers. They are modest, practical and very easy to use. Forget being embarrassed to nurse in public...do it in style! I also love how you can use this cover as a changing pad, stroller sun shade and light blanket. Products that allow me to multi-task are my best friend!

Like I have said in previous posts, sometimes it is a really great idea to think "outside the box" when it comes to picking out baby shower gifts. You don't always have to get something that is newborn themed. Believe it or not, some moms prefer gifts that will help them later on down the road, rather than immediately. I remember getting stuffed animals, toys, and even clothes for toddlers at my baby shower. Those things I was not able to use right away but when my daughter was a bit older, she really enjoyed digging into the new collection of toys and clothes. So, for this review I was sent a Bunny Change Purse. I chose the bunny for my daughter because it had pink on it. :) This Bunny is made out of reclaimed wool, which makes it super soft...perfect for the child who likes to cuddle anything that looks remotely like a stuffed animal! 

My daughter could not wait to get her hands on her new wallet! I actually had to hide it from her until I was ready to write my review. When I finally got it out for her, she was really excited (even though she wasn't sure what to do with it.)! 

I let her check it out and then informed her that it was for her pennies. Well, then we had to go find some pennies to put in it and it was officially her purse. 

As you can see from the picture above, she is really happy with this Bunny Change Purse. It is girly, fun and colorful...all perfect combinations.

If you have a little guy in your home who is getting to the age where everything goes "zoom!" and "VROOM", then you probably have loads of cars and trucks for him to play with. My son is 21 months and has just really become fascinated with those little matchbox cars. He will have one in his hand at any given time of the day...including bedtime! We have a horrible time keeping track of them too. They go EVERYWHERE! I fish them out from under furniture, my piano, piles of shoes and toys and beds. It is nice to have toys like these though to help him develop his sense of boy hood. Having a big sister around means that there are loads of dollies, strollers, ribbons and a barrettes but not many toys for boys. This is the other reason I am glad for little cars and trucks for Jacob. He just LOVES them!

I love how the wheels have nice treads on them too!! Awesome! The whole "build" of the car is very durable and seems like it will last a long time for us, which is great.

My little guy was very anxious to get his little hands on this car and as soon as I gave it to him he was zooming it all over my house. I got a few pictures of him enjoying it and as you can see, he LOVES it!

The only problem we had was trying to keep big sister away from it so Jacob could play with it in peace! :) He was (and still is) VERY protective of his Brio Classic Wooden Car! Oh, and this car FLIES when it is pushed across the floor. He was chasing it from one end of my house to the other and it kept him occupied for quite a while! 

When daddy got home from work on the day we opened Jacob's car, he also loved playing with it! Good to know that toys not only entertain children, but adults too! :)

So, in my opinion...Hello Baby has some awesome products! I love the Brio Classic Wooden Car that I was sent for my son and he loves it as well! It is durable, easy to handle and very fast too. This would make a great gift for a mom-to-be who is expecting a boy...she could pack it away until he is old enough to use it and from that point on, it will definitely be a favorite toy for him!
