Nonni's Biscotti Review & Giveaway

In the mornings I love to have a cup of decaf hazelnut creme coffee. Usually, I add a bit of french vanilla creamer and then settle in with my little ones for our morning routine. If I have a sweet bread on hand, I like to grab a slice to munch on while sipping my coffee. Not only do I enjoy something to munch on in the mornings to help get me going, I also like to have something sweet to nibble on while the children are napping . This time of the day is PERFECT for me to kick back and relax for a little bit. All three of my children are on the same nap schedule so it makes for a very peaceful time for me. What better way to treat myself then to grab another cup of coffee and relax with a special treat!

If you have ever heard of Nonni's Biscotti then you know exactly where I am going with all this talk about snacking. They have some very sweet offerings when it comes to snacking and I am sooo thrilled to be able to focus on this fantastic company in today's post!! In the little town of Lucca, Italy along narrow cobbled lanes surrounded by elegant piazzas, our Nonni (an endearing term for Grandma) made biscotti to share with family and friends. When Nonni came to America, almost a century ago, she brought the family recipe with her.

To this day, the same family recipe using real eggs, butter and gourmet bittersweet chocolate is still used to give our biscotti a light, crunchy texture that is delicately sweet. I have had Biscotti before, but never this brand. My mom makes a really yummy chocolate Biscotti at Christmas time and it is phenomenal. Nonni's Biscotti carries so many delicious looking products...I seriously would try them all! Flavors like Triple Milk Chocolate Biscotti and Limone Biscotti are enough to get my mouth watering for sure. You can imagine my excitement when I was offered the chance to review some of Nonni's products.

So, for this review I was sent three boxes of Nonni's Salted Caramel Biscotti. I personally LOVE snacks that combine salty and sweet and so I was very excited to try this flavor.

What I really love is each piece of Biscotti is individually wrapped to lock in freshness. It also helps with portion control...if you have to open each package separately, it will prevent you from grabbing large handfuls at a time. This method of packaging definitely slows the binge eater down.

Each piece of Biscotti has chocolate drizzled across the top, sprinkled with granules of salt. Baked inside the Biscotti you will find generous chunks of caramel, which adds a chewy factor.

To top it all off, the bottom of the Biscotti is covered in sweet and creamy chocolate. Oh yes...this is definitely a snacker's heaven. Sweet, salty, crunchy and chewy all combined to make the most delicious Biscotti you will ever eat!

  

Both of my children (who LOVE sweets) really enjoyed these as a mid-afternoon snack. Rarely do they get sweet snacks but this was definitely a special treat for them. Their faces tell it all!! Each Salted Caramel Biscotti contains 100 calories, so that makes them a reasonable splurge for the dieter. No worries there! So, in my opinion...Nonni's Salted Caramel Biscotti is amazing! I am definitely a fan of the sweet and salty flavor and am ready to go out and buy some of the other flavors now too! My family loves it and so do I. I do recommend this delectable snack to anyone...to share, to dunk or to completely devour in one sitting. :)
